Everytime we've needed a big stop, we haven't gottne it. Up by 4 after Green's 3 and they come right back with a 3 pt play. We're having a tough time getting out on their 3 pt shooters coming around picks. One other observation: Wallace is a liability on offense. It's like 4 on 5. I hope he hits a big 3 down the stretch and proves me wrong.

They cause us worries, but in the end, they came through. Everybody was getting on DJ, and who hits the 3 that puts us ahead for good! ;D

I'm a huge fan of Wallace(J-Wall Moneyball) but past few games he has been so cold from beyond the arc. He's gotta get his rythm back soon.

only thing about Wallace is that, while I think he played serviceably well for the most part, he passed up some WIDE OPEN jumpshots...and i was about to kill DJ until he hit that 3 pointer from the top of the key, which was huge...too bad the commercial was too long for me to see it live...

8-3 in big east- unbelievable. It was noticeable, even on tv, that both teams were playing very hard -- the most hotly contested game I've seen the hoyas play this year. Obvious that both teams realize the importance this time of year -- and I'm glad to see that the hoyas responded to that kind of pressure well. Also, how great is coach? In the first half we couldnt handle their trapping (9 TOs), so in the second half we attack the basket when they double and it turns the game around. Also, I'm guessing that's why Reed got so much run -- another ball handler. Huge game by Green -- looks like the week off was huge for him. And how about Hibbert -- was really fired up all game (or at least the first 25 minutes when we was actually playing). Bowman and cook have both become solid veteran players who plauy under control and can shoot and drive. Just wish they would attack a bit more the way Cook is beginning too. Green also attacked more today in the second half. Now if wallace would just hit his open threes. Seeing cook attack and then dish to Bowman for the jam and foul was great -- and that's teh type of thing I think you'll see a lot more of next year after these guys have a year of this offense under their belt -- and hopefully the rest of this year too. One final comment: Donny Marshall was not bad for a rookie announcer. Was off on a few comments, but was pretty good relative to what's out there these days.

Look, Wallace may not be a great scorer (yet) but he made his presence known again today. He had some huge assists (6), a few to big Jeff, plays tough D, and minimizes turnovers. The scoring will come, give him time.

I think we are getting a little bit spoiled with some of these new guys. We have to remember that they are still FRESHMAN. Although they don't play like it, they are still expected to struggle and make mistakes.
That being said, I still think he really helps our team on the court. He brings good defense along with passing and shooting. He knows the offense well and runs it with saavy. Although we is struggling now, the shots will fall.
We could be scary in a few years (if we aren't already).
Go Hoyas!

My parish does that "My God is an Awesome God" song at the Sunday night mass, and the first time I heard it, I turned to the woman next to me and said, "oh, totally!"
