will be held in Arkansas June 10-13, 2009. The men qualified two (Liam Boylan-Pett and Toby Ulm, 1500m, 400H) at the regionals this last weekend. Dan Nunn had automatically qualified for the 10000m with his time at the Stanford meet. Entered as a wild card, based on his fast time of 13.77 s is Chris Kinney in the 110H. Mike Krisch was hoping that his time, also at the Stanford meet, would qualify him in the 10000m. Unfortunately, he is not listed among the 26 entered, although he has a time faster than two of the entries. I don't know how they chose these; the 10000m was based solely on time. Maybe he opted out. EDIT: Mike actually finished 2 seconds behind what I had him down as, so he was essentially the last man out. For the women three qualified this weekend, all in the 1500m - Maggie and Emily Infeld and Renee Tomlin. Today London Finley was selected as a wild card, based on her good time in the 400m. I thought Christine Whalen had an outside chance, since she just missed the automatic qualifiers at regionals by one place. She has a good seed time, but apparently there were five that didn't not make it during regionals that had a faster time.

The meet was suspended after the men's 400H. There are thunderstorms in the area. I am still waiting on the women's 400H, which should have been run right the before the men's race. That is what they get for holding a large track meet in the Southeast in June.

London Finley also advanced to the semi's in the 400H--advancing to the final will require a big PR for her, though I think she ran a pr in the prelim.

I think she tied her PR of 58.14, only qualifying on time, since she finished 5th in her heat. I think for a freshman that she has exceeded all expectations. Yes, a big PR will put her in the finals.

London Finley does not move to the finals, but she had a great season as a frosh, especially to make it to the semi-finals of the NCAA meet.

Dan got four miles into it, before he dropped out. The splits for his last three laps were a bit strange, so I cannot endorse these completely: 1:16.65, 1:00.74, 2:23.00.
