While not a big fan -- at least not in the last 10 years or so -- yes, that truly is the end of an era. Thanks for his contributions to the sport, which are vast and numerous.
But I'm sure that EA will continue to use the Madden name for its football franchise....at least for several more years.
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't really be interested in buying "Chris Collinsworth '10" or "Mike Tirico '11".

Do people really think of John Madden anymore when referring to the video game? I feel like the brand has taken on a life of its own. His voice hasn't been on there for years.
