For what it's worth (yeah obviously nothing) Lunardi has us a 9 seed playing Florida in the opening round. Winner to play the Dukies sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketologywouldn't that be fun

Well I'm just going to start filling in my bracket now. I'm sure this will all hold up.

We won't be meeting up with Duke in the first two rounds since we'll have played them during the regular season. There's one thing I like, and it has nothing to do with Lunardi: no sites deep in Carolina territory for the annual UNC/Duke invitational -- Jacksonville would be the closest. That will be the first time since 2003. This year, they had Greensboro (and Miami, for whatever that's worth). 2008: Raleigh & Charlotte (& DC -- to be honest, there are more ACC fans here). 2007: Winston-Salem (& Atlanta; though the SEC is big there, despite GA Tech, it would have been a friendly ride for UNC -- too bad they didn't make it ). 2006: Greensboro (& Atlanta & DC). 2005: Charlotte. 2004: Raleigh (& Atlanta). The Big East hosts at Providence, Milwaukee & Syracuse, and Buffalo isn't too bad for us, either.

Note about DC last year: Dukies were badly outnumbered by 'Eers and various other anti-Duke fans who cheered first Belmont and then WVU against them.

It's April...Joe Lunardi must not have enough to do. What's next, his early brackets for Wrestlemania 2010?

We won't be meeting up with Duke in the first two rounds since we'll have played them during the regular season. *SNIP* This is what I despise about Bracketology - it's a parlor game. And for something that essentially involves the facade of in-depth reporting (not just qualifiers are listed, but the entire bracket) is exposed when parts of it don't actually happen. I always post that Bracketology isn't real, but it's getting less real.

I think we may just be bitter than he gets paid for his "expert" opinion and we don't. I'm happy to admit that, because I could definitely do his job and unfortunately, don't. I'm sure most of us could. Sigh.

Umm getting the finals in a regional at Syracuse and possibly winning would be a dream come true, especially if it was over the orange at the dome. i would probably.....omg i'd be going nuts.

Ugh why on earth would we want to play Cuse @ Cuse in a regional final..... Cuse wouldn't be allowed to play in the regional on their home court. As with everything Bracketology-related, it's irrelevant.

The Big East hosts at Providence, Milwaukee & Syracuse, and Buffalo isn't too bad for us, either. Really? Buffalo gets a sub-regional and Syracuse a regional in the same year? Is Rochester not available for the Final 4? Cornell will not even have to leave upstate NY until they head to Indianapolis!

Trigger the ACC board posts -- Jack has surfaced an Upstate NY conspiracy!
Maybe it will help Binghampton

Syracuse and Buffalo get tourney sites all the time. The only thing that has stopped Syracuse from holding a Final Four is that, shockingly enough, the city does not have enough hotel rooms.
And Lunardi probably wants to change his brackets again. No way Cuse is a top-5 seed next year now (muhahahaha)

At the rate they are building hotels around the Turning Stone, there should be enough.......and I think they fall within the radius the Final Four requires. Here's hoping anyway!!

And people complained about Detroit as a Final Four destination... Seriously, it is depressing how awful the locations are for the Final Four- the only city in the rotation I would even think about visiting independently at that time of year is New Orleans. Atlanta at least is a transportation hub, I guess. Detroit, Indianapolis, San Antonio, Houston, St. Louis, Phoenix- blech. But when you have to play in a dome, your options are limited (and not within driving distance of the population centers of the Northeast).
