Can anyone explain to me why GW decided that a George Washington mascot wasn't enough, and so they decided to add a hippo?? A "colonial" hippo, perhaps?
Not sure if it was the result of a 2-year Nike marketing/planning process, but it seems a little weird to me.

I was hoping this would stay quiet. The skits they do elicit one of two responses: a) Groans b) looking down at ones shoes to pretend that it didn't just happen. The best thing I can say is that the kids like them.

The best thing I can say is that the kids like them. He didn't do skits, but a friend of mine got Jack to show up at her wedding briefly. Of course, he was a guest and only wore it for a few minutes, but we all thought it was pretty cool.

I agree, the hippo is a stretch. However, it beats a guy dressed as a giant citrus.
