Have been reading about this kid and he seems a perfect fit for JT3's offense and just what these young Hoyas need next year for depth on the front line. I understand Duke, Kentucky and Michigan have already offered, Has Georgetown?

We got on him extremely late after the big boys had already been recruiting him for a long time. It's unlikely, but I wouldn't say that anything is impossible for JT III and staff.

And with what would we lure this guy? I thought we have spent all of our scholarships, assuming we extend a one to Wallace. And last I heard Owens wants to come back next year too. So, now we have -1 sholarships to give?

So, now we have -1 sholarships to give? Anyone who has followed Hoya Hoops over the years knows that to determine the number of schollies actually available in any given year, one must consult the Bible. Yes, it is in there. THere is a story about loaves and fishes. Point being, it is never possible to tell when a player will suddenly do something surprising, like, say... join the French Foreign Legion -- I KID you not! -- to make a spot available for an incoming player. This is not a criticism or an attack on any particular player, or an encouragement that someone should leave, it is simply a statement of fact. IF POPS wanted a player, a schollie would become available. If Craig wanted a player... same thing. If T3 wants a player.... he'll find a way. And my guess is that T3 REALLY would like one more recruit -- and he will be a BIG guy.

We've still got room. Remember that just because DJ says he wants to come back doesn't mean that coach will necessarilly offer him that opportunity. Unless he picks up his play I dont see him being back.

Unless he picks up his play I dont see him being back. If Wallace gets a schollie next year, then there is no room for Owens or anyone else, other than the four incoming frosh we know about. Therefore, someone would have to leave if we bring in a fifth recruit. and that does NOT include any space for Owens. My guess is there's no way Owens comes back. If he were 6'10, 230ls, then maybe. But he isn't.

I'm on the record with Owens. It all depends on if JTIII can bring in a new big man recruit. If he can then I think Owens doesn't come back. If he doesn't then I think JTIII definitely brings him back for another year...why wouldn't he.
However, I don't think JTIII is limiting himself in terms of bringing someone. I wouldn't be shocked if someone left the program this coming year. I won't speculate, but it happens a lot in college basketball and it has happened at Georgetown in the past.

Unless he picks up his play I dont see him being back. From all reports from friends who are sociology majors with DJ, he will be back and Thompson has told him he is welcome back. I think he should be welcome with open arms. Not entirely due to playing ability (which I don't think is a negative at all). Rather, this team is young. It will still be young next year. It would be great to have a leader to show them how to prepare and push these young guys to mature and develop to the next level.
