Not that I mind playing Howard, what w/ them being a DC school, but MARYLAND EASTERN SHORE?!?!?! There's a Maryland Eastern Shore? www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A6549-2005Feb7.htmlThankfully they weren't the MEAC team that took us to overtime. (Norfolk St. is 8-4 in conference and 10-10 overall. Not a lot better, but at least they aren't losing to Maryland Eastern Shore, which I'm being assured is actually a DI basketball team)

There's not only an Eastern Shore, we've played them a few times!

UMES...alma mater of the great Pascual Fleury. False - Pascal ended up at UMBC (Baltimore County).

Here's more on the Hawks at The Mid Majority (great hoops blog for those not familiar).... www.midmajority.com/archives/2005/02/less_than_zero.phpYes, they're actually worse than Savannah State. "At this writing, the team closest to absolute zero is Maryland-Eastern Shore. They are ranked last in the nation by nearly every computer model, mostly because they play ball in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. The MEAC is judged to be the worst of all the conferences, so their 14 straight losses have primarily occurred at the hands of teams that are slightly less feeble than they. Therefore, it would logically follow that the Hawks must be the weakest of the weak."
