Not sure if people noticed it, but the NCAA Selection Comm. meets this Wed. and Thurs I believe to do a "mock" bracket to practice for the real one. I have to believe that our position today would only help us in this regard. They will have to look at us as a team today and maybe it will stick in the back of their minds in 5 weeks....just a thought.
One other thought: Did anyone else notice that the AD of Princeton is on the committee!?!? Pretty interesting. He certainly wouldn't have to recuse himself, but I bet he has some feelings towards JTIII. Just another little thing to look out for...
BTW-Just writing all of this stuff has made me giddy. I'm just so happy my $15 subsription to collegerpi.com is going towards tracking the HOyas. Oh and Jerry Palm has us as a #7 seed at this point....

I didn't get the sense that there was a great deal of bitterness about JTIII leaving Princeton. Moving to the best conference in America, at a school with which he has such longstanding ties, would have been very difficult for coach to pass up. He had said that GU was the only job that he would leave Princeton for - so it's not like he just jumped ship the first time another school came knocking.
They're struggling this year, but they got a hell of a coach in Joe Scott. They'll be fine. I don't think the Princeton AD's position on the committee would do anything but help us. More likely, it won't matter at all. Either way, we will never know.

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing. In fact, I think it's a good thing. He did things the right way and was very respectful. Things seemed to work out all around.

Many people associated with Princeton talked about how well JT3 handled the transition and how happy they were for him. He left on great terms. No problems there.
