As frustrating as it has been to watch other teams get the limelight every Monday night, it is great to know that we should get at least 2 , and possibly even 3, spots on the schedule next year. Just one more indication that JTIII was right about making everyone remember what Hoya basketball is all about. HOYA SAXA!

you would hope we can at least get the cuse game next year. Assuming a strong close to this season, a top 25 and maybe top 15 pre-season ranking should not be far fetched

Who do we want to win tonight in UConn vs. Syracuse?
UConn because I hate Syracuse, and also we play UConn twice so it helps our RPI.
Syracuse because we want to stay ahead of UConn in BE standings so we can get a bye in the first round of the tournament.
That brings up another question: do we want a bye in the first round? If we want to WIN the tournament then yes we want a bye (more rest). If we want to add to our wins/resume for the NCAA tournament, we dont want a bye (though losing in the first round of BE tournament would be terrible).

How exactly is the BE tourney going to work this year with 5 teams getting byes. Does this mean that a five seed plays the four seed in the second round?
This is what I imagine but not sure:
11 v 6 - winner plays 1 10 v 7 - winner plays 2 9 v 8 winner plays 3 second round - 4 v 5

The only correction that I would make i that the winner of the first game you list will probably play the winner of the last game you list and so forth. I imagine that the top 5 teams are in the Dance anyways, with 6 and maybe 7 competing to get a berth.

I think it's slightly different (in any tournament with 8 or more teams, the 8 seed is always "scheduled" to play the 1 seed)
Second Round 1 vs. 8-9 winner 2 vs 7-10 winner 3 vs. 6-11 winner 4 vs. 5
