Great to see Greg saying all the right things. Two thoughts: 1. He's one player who would benefit his team by being more selfish. "I never taken pride in any personal achievements." I get it. I do. I love that he says that without any prompting. He's a great kid and a talented ball player but it's time for him to understand that "getting his" and dominating lesser players is exactly what this team -- his team -- needs. The only way he can be more selfish (and I agree he should be) is to tell his teammates to get him the freakin ball more often. When he gets it, he goes up for shots a reasonable amount of time. Maybe he could shoot more often when he gets it, but the problem more so is how often he even gets it. It's absurd. End result is we have guys who won't play in the NBA taking more shots than a guy who will be a top 5 pick when he goes pro. He should be the number one shot taker and should take at least 30% more shots than the number two guy. Sure if the double and triple him every time then that changes but he's shown he creates good shots for others so start with him every time down the court.

Do people realize Greg Monroe is NOT, I repeat, NOT Jeff Green or Roy Hibbert? One day he will be a great player, but right now, our main offensive plan, should NOT be to pound the ball into Monroe in the post. He doesn't have a left hand to speak of and right now he is a very poor finisher. We would be more successful having Wright drive into the pain every possession and throw up a lay-up or have Summers throw up a three every possession as we would pounding it into Monroe at this point. He makes a nice move to get open, but he generally doesn't knock down the shot. Maybe next year that would be an effective gameplan, if he can learn to finish and develop some semblence of a left hand, but right now that would be fruitless, and lead to a lot of missed layups and turnovers. Also Greg Monroe is a top five pick on potential alone at this point, not based off current ability, so using that as a reason to have him shoot more seems a little pointless.

Sleepy I think you mean Right hand.....Greg is left-handed you realize....he drives left fine, its that he always uses that spin to get to the right then the spin to get into some kind of shot, everything needs to be simplified down for him post wise..if he can get a rolling hook, his lack of lift really wont come into play that often and please please Greg when you have 5 ft going to your left hooks in the lane passing to 6-0 guards under the hoop arent great passes...I also think he'd be much better with someone to bang and do the dirty work out there with him. a 6-7 to 6-9 guy who can bang, i actually think Julian wouldnt be a bad choice and let greg play Dujuans role more. Greg likes to drive off the dribble from the outside.....let him do that. I think the thinking was he is such a great passer if we use him at the 5 in the offense he will be dropping backdoor lay-ups all game the problem is that defensively he is too soft to be a 5.

Sorry, typo, I do realize he is left-handed. I'll blame ot on being tired.

Early in the season, GM did finish effectively going to his right. As the season progressed, he appeared to stop even looking for that move. I predict(hope) that it will be an effective piece of his offensive arsenal next year. Congrats to GM for ROY!
