We have two games today with SU v. UCONN and Nova v. St. Joes.
In the SU game, I'd like SU to win simply because UCONN needs to pick up a big win this season to make a case for the Dance. Thus far, their win against us might classify as their biggest win. Additionally, a SU win would prevent UCONN from tying our BE record, in which case they would advance ahead of us in the BE standings. Now, a UCONN win would only be good if we ended up beating them in our next meeting, but I'd rather see UCONN lose tonight and us win on the road.
In the 'Nova game, I think we have to cheer for Nova for sheer RPI reasons and improvement of our conference RPI.

Here's something I've been wondering.
When ND played SU this weekend, would it have been better to root for ND (because we beat them) or SU (because they beat us) for RPI reasons? Or does it not matter at all?
Basically, when a team we beat plays a team who beat us, does it matter who wins? (I'm asking strictly for RPI reasons--discounting Big East standings, how much I hate the 'Cuse, etc.).

I think our place in the standings is more important even though teams that we have beaten help our RPI if they win.
Tonight I have to root for cuse again(this is getting really difficult) and definitely Nova for Big East reasons and because we play them twice.

SU fought back from being in the hole, and the halftime score is 37-36 in favor of pUCONN. Tipoff for Nova in a few minutes.

VU 25-SJU 16 at the half. SU-UCONN is going down to the wire, apparently.

rooting for syracuse is not an option. i don't care who they play. they are a bunch of f-ing crybabies, starting with boeheim and his pet rat gerry, and ending with the fair weather fans. they are on par with duke on the hatred scale.

looks like UCONN is going to pull this one out...Gay has had a very good game with 17 points...watch out for the Huskies if they start pouring it on late in the season - that game at Storrs could get ugly...I think gay/green for big east rookie of the year could be closer than a lot of your think, especially if green continues his uneven play and Gay pours it on at the end...we'll see though...

Final: 74-66 pUCONN.
This win does wonders for their resume. Only solution for us is to take care of our own business.
Also, Villanova is currently putting the hurt on SJU (St. Joe's). 35-18 with 15:59 to go in the second half.

VU 67 - SJU 52
Well, we are 1-1 on our games today. On the other hand, let's just go up to Storrs and take our belts to UCONN. That would do wonders for our RPI and tourney chances.

I consider us 2-0 in our games. I root for anybody, in and out of conference, vs. Cuse.
