Davidson lost to Charleston in the Southern Conference semifinals, so they either drop to the NIT or take a bid away from a bubble team. They didn't beat anyone this year, but it is hard to imagine the committee would leave them out. You know the TV suits wants them in.

It all depends on how much they LOVE Curry. Which is a lot. So they will probably get an undeserved berth.

Davidson is absolutely NOT in the NCAA tournament. 24 of their 25 wins came against teams outside the top 100 (beating WVU by 3 on a neutral court being the only exception). Their RPI/SOS after today's loss is 69/164, which isn't even close to anything to being worthy of an at-large.
Bottom line: if you didn't beat anyone of significance, and your computer numbers suck in comparison to other teams on the bubble, no dice. Even if you have a media darling.

If we both end up in the NIT you can bet that we will be in the same bracket with an ESPN game on a non NCAA night.
Add George Mason to the bracket. In fact, they may set up Mason vs. Davidson with the winner playing the winner of the Georgetown game.

Yeah, there are certainly some stories out there that screen writers will love.
