Monroe BE All-Freshman; No other Hoya honorees

Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that Summers wouldn't even be an honorable mention all-Big East player (and wouldn't come close to deserving to be).

I don't like to point fingers, but it's hard to overlook the fact that a pre-season all-conference player didn't even get honorable mention. First place you should look when examining why this team was such an enormous disappointment.

I have no problem with those selections, based on the on court performance of the players and factoring in how their teams have done to decide between those who make it and those who do not.

It'll be tough for Greg to pass two kids who are top players for #1 seed candidates in the National ROY race. Is there a national All-Freshman team though? If so, I think he has a solid shot at that honor.

Fields would be my choice for #1 PG in the league this year, and at least on the second team if not the first. I'm surprised the coaches thought differently.

It's hard to argue with the other selections. Blair for POY tomorrow?
