I am flying in from Paris and want to go the game. What are the best way to get tickets? Alumni office or ticketmaster or at the MCI center through vendors or street merchants?

I don't know what is best for tickets because I am on the student plan, but I just wanted to give you props for flying in from Paris.

Game won't come close to selling out. You can go to the ticket window on game day and get yourself a good or cheap ticket.

I'm not being negative, just realistic. I think he wanted a practical answer.

Actually, that's not true - the game will probably sell out because this weekend is Senior Parents Weekend - tons of parents in town and most of them will be going to the game because it's part of the total package of tickets you can buy for the weekend. It will most definitely sell out.

With the closed upper deck a sell out is only like 12,500 this season I believe, so it's possible. I would really love to see that but I also think its unlikely.
Let's make it happen!!!

I think it is possible if parents come out in good numbers. For folks reading this, call your friends and neighbors and let's GOTH (Get Out the Hoyas)!

It will most definitely sell out. How many seniors are there? 1500? Plus two parents each? 4500? Even if that extreme case were achieved, that is only 4500 seats and obvioulsy that won't happen. Some kids have one parent. Many parents won't be able to make it. And lots won't attend the game. I'd be DELIGHTED to see the "junior" sell out of 12,500. But think it is highly unlikely. Now if we were playing ND, it could be a different story.

Yeah, but I'm not talking 3-4,000 opposing fans, we need over 10,000 Georgetown fans to start coming to games if we want a real home court advantage.

That takes a winning program - - which JT3 is building -- and a little PR from the University, some marketing, an effective SID, a few little steps like that. IF that were accomplished, no one would be talking about an on campus arena -- which I consider a great idea, but also a total pipe dream.

Please fellow Hoyas, get out to support the team! If I only lived 2000 miles closer I would SO be there. Go to the game, create a sellout so that I may live vicariously through you!

I tried the Louvre and was referred to hoyasaxa.com message boards...
I will be back in D.C. from now on and will be a regular at the MCI center. Do you think West Va. will get a good turnout from their fans at the MCI center or does the game interfere with the 9th annual pecan pie festivals going on in their home state.

WVU fans used to travel a lot better in the recent past (and always more with their football team) than they have in the last couple of seasons -- I wonder if this years woes depress that turnout even further. I'd probably expect more than St. John's or Seton Hall fans, but nowhere near ND/Cuse or even Pitt levels.
As for me, I've already bought three tickets to Saturday's game, and working on getting some more friends there.
