It's Mr. Healy. Whatever. We can cry about not having Hibbert or someone like Thabeet or Blair on the squad. That's pointless. I will take a front court of 6'11" freshman Monroe, 6'11" freshman Sims, 6'10" first year in the system player Vaughn, 6'8" essentially first year player Mescheriakov and 6'8" Summers. They will improve. Their rebounding, shot blocking and defending will improve. You're the JJ Redick of this board. One dimensional. You stand way outside and hoist bombs from deep. That's all you've got. That's your game. One dimensional players are weak. Really? Are you saying that no one else here feels like we need to get at least one more recruit for next year "to help with rebounding, defense, etc..." That's a bomb to you? Is that what you're saying? Is "whatever" your answer? Wow, that's very dimensional! If I'm JJ Redick, you're Paulus, a fumbling, smack-the-court flopper. Paulus -- that's hilarious. Well played. Of course another recruit to help in the front court would be great but there's no freshman who's going to be a silver bullet for this team. A freshman like Sims or first year player like Vaughn won't make a huge difference for this team next year. Should III look in that direction? Sure, probably. Or not. I guess my point is this: we can bring in a freshman banger to help rebound, block shots and so forth but, realistically, that freshman banger is going to contribute, what, 6pts-4rbs-1blk a game? Maybe more, probably not. I mean, looking at Sims, Vaughn, Nikita, even Monroe I think that's the reality. So what I'm saying here, and in my previous post, is that, IMHO, if you want to see significant team-wide improvement in those categories, then you'd better hope for improvement (hopefully and admittedly a lot of improvement) from our current players. Paulus out.
