Why not start Vaughn with Monroe? Vaughn has some low post back to the basket moves and fights for rebounds. He actually tries to box out too.
5) Monroe 4) Vaughn 3) Summers 2) Free 1) Wright

I suggested this back in early January. Julian can't get out of III's doghouse. Greg needs to play the 4 and Julian or Henry the five. Julian is more further along than Henry. Henry will be better in the long run.

Vaughn moves slow but he can score with his back to the basket.

I'd rather see Sims starting with Monroe and JV coming off the bench as the backup center. The two have great chemistry together and there is still a ton of upside with (Oh!) Henry

Ok sims doesnt have the GAME to compete at this level right now. Hed get pushed around of defense cause hes a string bean, and offensively in teh half court set he doesnt have the moves to contribute. Lets see him put 2 basketball moves together before we talk about him starting...

I'd like to see this lineup during our games, but I don't think it has to be at the start of the game. My guess is that JTIII wants to use Vaughn to give Monroe some rest; so he is not using them together.

Marquette would have had even more open looks with this lineup on the floor.

So your point is that Nikita is WAAAAYYYY faster than Vaughn? Don't get me wrong, I think Nikita's developing really well but defensive speed wouldn't be the two words I'd use to describe him at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I think Nikita's developing really well but defensive speed wouldn't be the two words I'd use to describe him at this point. That's reason that Nikita went to the bench early and didn't play much until Summers' foul trouble - he also is a defensive liability (3 fouls in 6 minutes or less). I think Sapp or Clark should start in his place. In terms of a Monroe/Vaughn combination, I just don't see that happening unless we play a slower team that emphasizes low post play.
