Sapp played well. He played defense and showed a lot of heart. To my knowledge, he took one wild shot, but other than that, he came to play tonight. There is no question in my mind. I personally think he should have played the whole game from beginning to end.

He was 3/10 with a wild bank in 3, 2/4 from the line, and made some bad decisions on the break. His D was OK (I don't think it was particularly good - he was responsible for some of the open 3s), and he tried hard - but trying isn't enough. He's a senior and he should be better than this. He has been before, and it's sad that he's going to go out with such a poor season.

He has been before, and it's sad that he's going to go out with such a poor season. The talent around him in his previous 3 years is gone. Sapp is a nice complimentary piece, a 5th-6th man on a talented starting 5. This year, he is getting exposed for what he isn't with lesser and inexperienced talent around him. Sapp has never been forced to lead his entire career until this year, when there were others surrounding him who was always older and more experienced and talented than him his 1st 3 years. This year isn't the case, and he is struggling in a role he isn't capable of. His talent is being stretched too much and being forced to do things that are beyond him.

hoyaboy1 - I wouldn't call it accolades. I thought he competed well. The results weren't all the greatest but you can't fault the kid for not trying. I actually agree with the_way on this one - Jesse is a nice complementary player.
