Supreme Leader's number one henchman, Rahm "free rent" Emanuel now has his own ethics and tax problems. Five years of free lodging from a colleague whose husband just happened to get hundreds of thousands of dollars in polling work from the DCC while it was run by Rahm.
Add in Rahm's stellar work on the board of directors of Freddie Mac and you've got change you can believe in.
I have figured out why Democrats don't mind higher taxes: they don't pay them.
I wish this were a joke.

Can we create two permanent threads in this board?
1- Illegal/Sketchy/Inappropriate/Unethical behavior by Democrats 2- Illegal/Sketchy/Inappropriate/Unethical behavior by Republicans
Or should I just start a new thread any time I think there should be publicity given to Republican misdeeds?

Okay by me. Just remember that pointing out lousy behavior by one child does not excuse another. Supreme Leader promised a new Washington with Hope and Change. Rahm Emanuel represents old time DC/Chicago slime at its worst.

I actually support this. I don't mind hashing out every stupid thing done by members of either party. Sometimes it's fun. But we're at a point now where it's just constantly a new thread. In fact, we should pin these two threads to the top. I would probably make for some fun trips down memory lane if now, we could glance back at our notes from Valeria Plame, Alberto "Can't Get a Job" Gonzalez (his whole tenure), and let's not forget Airport-Bathroom-Gate. It would be fun to have a historical record with all these convos in one cesspool, right at the top of Blue & Grey.

Elvado, you're not allowed to say anything negative about President Obama's administration or party. How many times do you have to be told?

Not arguing points or anything (I usually agree with you on the ethical issues you raise), but doesn't this get old for you at some point?

Once people stop reacting badly to outrageous behavior, the outrageous becomes acceptable. The American public has been sold an awful bill of goods by this man. If he meant one word of his "Change you can believe in" crap, Rahm would be on the first bus out of the White House.

I'm pretty sure this is just a case of the Windy City getting upset that some people have said that San Diego politics are more corrupt than Chicago politics.
So, they've now given us Burris and Rahm to make sure Chicago keeps its position at the top of the charts.

Elvado, you're not allowed to say anything negative about President Obama's administration or party. How many times do you have to be told? Approximately the same number of times that any critics of our last President were called "unpatriotic". So, we've still got a long way to go.

Supreme Leader? Hold on a second, until Obama finishes a round of golf in 34 strokes on a par 72 course, that title is undeniably held by someone else. www.anyonefortee.com/Shots/Kim.html

Yeah, that Stan Greenberg guy was a nobody until he let Rahm live in his basement.

Can we all find common ground on this: the Tax Code is clearly a nightmarish cluster- Edited that no one understands, much less enforce. Maybe some of this evasion was intentional. Maybe some of it was by accident. Either way, it all goes totally unnoticed until you end up in high-level federal government!

BTW, Georgetown grad Paul Bryar is running for Rahm's vacated congress seat. He's a doctor by trade and has nothing to do with oldtime Chicago politics. Best of luck to him.
