Id like to thank JT3 FOR 2 things today.
1. Pulling the starting 5 after we came out and were giving zero effort. Im getting sick of us not coming out with fire and intensity. Waatad, nikita, clark and vaugh gave us the heart and effort we needed to get the game stabilized and under control. SO thank you bench. I dont knwo about you guys but im suck of some of our starters acting like prima donnas that go out there and dont give max effort. So thank you JT3 for making a statement.
2. Did JT3 BENCH SAPP today. If so, once again thank you JT3 for more clark and less Sapp. Clark although has to work on his press breaking skills has showed me so much heart and offensive skill. So i hope sapp is not hurt or anything but good for 3 to yank him! Send him a message!!!
5 minuets left in this game and its tied ...ANYONES GAME. I hope summers can step it up and get aggressive.

Thank you for giving us another Esh-esque end-of-game play! KUDOS!!! Nice Buff... JT3 is now 6-2 in OT and you compare him to Esh.

This is all on JTIII. How many games have we been in this year where our team comes out of a timeout with a bs play call? Absolutely pathetic...nothing going to the rim, no movement. We are so easy to guard this season. Now our season is over.

Sirsaxa...how many times this year have we come out a timeout and thrown up bs? That is on III.

this is on wright...monroe had established position in the post and wright looked him off then passed to freeman for that abortion of a 3-pt attempt.

Maybe that one last play, MAYBE considering we don't know what the play call was exactly, but this loss, from a player perspective, is much more on Monroe than it is Wright. I can not believe he isn't being blasted for those freethrows. Any other player and people would be calling for him to be off the team, but with Monroe there isn't a single mention of it. This board is unbelievable.

I am not talking about the entire game, or the entire OT...I am just talking about that last play. Get the ball inside - even if Monroe doesn't shoot it, he finds someone in a better spot to shoot than Freeman with 3 seconds left, heavily guarded. That was pathetic.

SLEEPY YOU ARE A GREAT POSTER BUT DEAD WRONG HERE BUDDY.. MONROE WAS DOING SO MUCH MORE THAN SCORING OUT THERE. HE ALMOST HAD A TRIPLE DOUBLE. I THINK HE HAD LIKE 14 PTS, 5 REBOUNDS AND 5 STEALS. IF YOU WANT TO BLAM PEOPLE CHRIS WRIGHT, SUMMERS AND FREEMAN ARE BEFORE HIM. THROW IN SAPP FOR BEING A TOTAL BUST THIS YEAR

It's not any single player--it's the TEAM--they don't play like one and they are all mentally/physically SOFT.
Whenever a coach is searching for a "rotation" and mixing/matching and it's EXPLETIVE February--your team SUCKS. No injury reasons, just no accountability or consistency. Everyone was at fault for this loss and that includes Greg's bricks at FT line, Greg not fighting for position hard enough--he's got to give a better target and get big on his post up--but he might have been nervous they would foul him again--who knows? Wright has to do something other then dribble in one spot--but he was waiting for Monroe to flash hard and give him a target too--and when Greg didn't--he had no choice--but Freeman wasn't prepared or ready and then is afraid of contact and throws up some EXPLETIVE BS!
The end of year for this team can't come soon enough imo. I've never been more frustrated watching a team--not because of the losing but HOW THEY FAIL TO ANSWER the challenge/compete. It's one thing to lose when you have less talent--another when you are a SOFT team. This Hoya team plays like the Dallas Cowboys did in NFL and that's NOT a compliment.

IF YOU WANT TO BLAM PEOPLE CHRIS WRIGHT, SUMMERS AND FREEMAN ARE BEFORE HIM. THROW IN SAPP FOR BEING A TOTAL BUST THIS YEAR Summers and Freeman, maybe but Wright played a very good game all-around and did a very nice job shutting down Vaughn when he was guarding him. Monroe did a lot of good things too, BUT a lot of his mistakes REALLY cost us this game. The fact that he can't us is right hand has become a total liability for the whole team because it makes it so easy for teams to block him. If he used his right hand on that one where he got fouled it there definitely would have been a call and he most likely would have made a basket. Then there are those freethrows, which killed us. And, while he played good defensively and had that really nice block at the end, there were a few plays where he cheated to much and gave Gates wide open layups. He put up good numbers, but he had a lot of costly mistakes too.

When you blow a lead like we did today, 3 free throws are not the difference.
Cincy came at us in a predictable manner for 40 minutes, and we still couldn't answer the bell. The only fair criticism of JT3 in my opinion is that he hasn't gotten through to this group of players yet the same way he has with the teams of the last 4 years.

I GUESS WELL AGREE TO DISSAGREE TO SOME EXTENT SLEEPY. ANYWAYS RDF IS DEAD ON THIS IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING BUNCH OF SPOILED BABYS IVE EVERY WATCHED.
ONE GOOD THING THOUGH IS HOW THE BENCH HAS TAKEN UP THE SLACK AND EVEN THOUGH THEY DONT HAVE THE GOD GIVEN TALENT AS SUMMERS AND WRIGHT AND FREEMAN THEY AT LEAST HAVE GROWN AND HAD THE HEART TO GO OUT THERE AND DIVE FOR BALLS AND SUCH. I WONDER WHAT HOLLIS IS THINKING

Hollis should be thinking one thing--Hey Austin--keep taking the offseason casually and your job is MINE! Freeman has to get his butt in shape and quit acting like this "burly" look is a positive. He's not fat--but he's not in basketball shape either. Guy was a better prospect in HS then he's been a player in college and it's due to how he's built. Mean or not-it's true.
Hollis Thompson will be playing and if some guys don't want their time cut--then take the offseason more serious and get your butt in shape.

This is not meant to dump all the teams ills on Freeman but something has happened between his senior year in HS and now. You can go back and look at his senior photos and he looks like the perfect 2 guard at 6'4" for this team. Then over the summer last year he gets inflated by 15 pounds of what looks mostly fat than muscle. It may not be this kids fault. It maybe his physique can't stand any more weight. He seems to be slow and has limited hops. I keep seeing the All Star camp where he does a crossover at the top of the key and dunks the ball over his defender with ease. How many of us beleive that he could make that move now? To be fair, I think he was asked to put on more weight in order to play the smal forward position. It looks like his physique just could not support it. He has very little lift now, which may have afffected his jump shot. I am not sure if he was ever quick or fast on his feet, but for sure now he has average speed at best. Message to Hollis! Pump the iron to gain more strength, be careful of just putting on more weight.

you start a thread that calls out Sapp in this game? That's laughable. Maybe III had his own good reason for pulling him, but I watched the 5 minutes he played and he didn't lack effort. Whatever is going on between III and Sapp, not sure any of us knows. The fact that he's still starting yet has that short a leash is baffling to me, and who knows what it's doing to Sapp psychologically (or if Sapp even knows why?).

if your talking to me hoya137 yeah because hes one of the primary reasons this team is not clicking. If say theeres certainly a long list of problems with this team. But im happy to see JT3 sending SAPP a message and sitting hit ass down. Maybe the next time he hits the court hell play with alittle more fire in his belly....

2. Did JT3 BENCH SAPP today. Sort of OT, but I didn't want to start a new thread: Jessie has another year of eligibility, right? I know that doesn't mean he necessarily *will* stay, but I'm not wrong in thinking he hasn't exhausted his eligibility, right?
