Part 1 is truth. The same goes for the NBA with ESPN and the Lebron James hype machine.
Part 2 kind of sucks especially, the part about G'town, but Part 1 hits it right on the head about the real reasons (cha ching!!) ESPN keeps promoting the ACC as the best conference. This is a MUST read!!
I love the part in the article where it says those who believe"...every word that ESPN says (and there are some that do),..." That goes for a lot of people on this message board when their "ACC'ims" seem to creep out a lot in their posts.

SELF-EDIT: I'm erasing a post that, upon actually reading the introduction to Part 2 of the article, makes no sense AT ALL. Sorry, hoyatalkers, for my rash post. I was excited to see what the man wrote concerning Georgetown and subsequently ignored the rest of the page.

very unhappy with the push with Florida State. Statistically correct though because conference games weren't counted and we weren't amazing out ofconference despite the fact we started 3 freshmen and knew very little of the Princetown offense. But still Florida State?!?!?

Villanova is already ranked, but they'll probably lose that ranking after their loss to Uconn.

[Edited out my light gibe at Nick] The author's attempt at impartial analysis is admirable, but the conference RPI does a more accurate job and does show the ACC as the best conference in the country, only not quite by the margin that the sports leader seems to give it. The_way can now call me an ACC fan and Hoya hater for pointing out facts.

I noticed the same thing and thats why I said the facts were right but it was still Florida State.

He states that ACC's only road win against a non-conference ranked team was Wake vs. Cincy. What BE team has beaten a non-conference ranked team on the road? Cuse's wins vs. Memphis and MSU both occurred at MSG. The only other one I can think of was WV beating NC St., and that was hardly an upset, it was part of a 4 game losing streak. Are there any others that I am missing?
The first part of the article is well written, the second part is suscpetible to criticism and has some leaps of logic.

This guy didn't do all of this homework. Nova & Pitt are obvious.
