At this point, it's pretty much just blind faith to think we'll be 11-7 or 10-8 in the Big East. We have little to no hope on Saturday, and we'll have basically no margin for error after that. These games are not flukes. We are getting beaten decisively by the bad teams in the Big East.

Honestly with our SOS and the win at UCONN, I think an 9-9 conference record would get us in the tourney at around a 9th seed.

Let's try and move to the Ivy League at the earliest possible moment. I think that is all we can do since this season is rapidly going down the drain.

Coaches during the timeout with about 46 seconds remaing: "Lets run another slow moving, time consuming princeton set. Austin, I want you to launch a deep, contested three. I mean, we don't have any McD's all americans who can get to the rim whenever they want, or post up and dominate...so another awful three ball is a good plan, break."

Difficult yes, but 7-3 isn't really so far out of the realm of possibility. We convincingly beat UConn and 'Cuse. We were within, IMO, a few awful awful calls of beating Duke on their rigged court. This team is still there, but there is something seriously amiss right now that NONE OF US can explain. This is beyond execution, effort, defense, hustle.
Something is horribly wrong in that locker room if you ask me.

remember, we need to stay above .500 to make the NIT
2 weeks ago i thought this team had final four potential. It's just amazing what has happened.

Obviously lots wrong with the team. I think it should be noted though that JTIII adapts to changing game environments about as well as the dinosaurs did

We are not the team that beat syracuse and Uconn. And by the way, that cuse win isn't looking that good right now.
This team will have to improve 100 percent to go 9-9 in the conference. We've simply just fallen apart. It's stunning. Really stunning to see how fast we've imploded in such a short period of time.

Please commence now. It all goes in here. JTIII must be fired. We need a BANGER. We need toughness. We need to share the ball. We need Summers on the court. We're about to be on a 5 game losing streak. etc. Put it all in here. You've got to love people who are so excited to chide people for a board meltdown that they pre-emptively build a strawman meltdown to point to. Nice work.

As they say--in sports, you're never as good as you think you are when you're winning, and you're never as bad as you think you are when you're losing.
I have no idea where this season is going right now. We could honestly win the next 5 or lose the next 5.

Something is horribly wrong in that locker room if you ask me. I'll offer some unbridled speculation (more fun that way) and suggest that the trust factor on this team took a major hit when Hibbert/Wallace left, and it's not realistic to expect the new guys (Wright included) to rebuild that in half a season. Don't underestimate the impact of the Rivers/Macklin transfers -- relationships were probably lost there, too. And no matter what those guys said publicly, there had to be some player-coach frustration involved -- if I'm right, is it really unreasonable to think that the other players may have taken sides? Enough with "we should be better with all our McD AA guys." If we're talking quality of play, the McD AA game is only slightly better than the basketball scene from The Office, and there probably are at least 40 guys who played in that game but did nothing special in college.

Ive been saying for over a month now and only got made fun of but this team lacks heart and desire. I WAS hoping that they come together as a team and have a great season. Im really dissapointed in summers. deleted Chris wright deleted I feel badly for monroe, the guy has all the telent in the world and knowone will get him teh ball. This teamhas no desire and im sick of them. Play the guys who want to give a damn about this team. Sit summers and wright and maybe then tell see how fast they can get to teh nba from riding the bench the rest of the year. deleted.. I take it you didn't actually watch the game, DaJuan (before he got injured) and Chris were by far the best players today, and Greg got fed a lot but turned it over. Greg was actually one of the worst players on the court in the last few minutes As someone said earlier the effort was about 150% percent better than Sunday but still awful execution.

It's quieter here than after SHU. I think many posters are beyond melting down now.
It was supposed to be a rebuilding year with the loss of 4 seniors. Guess what, it's a rebuilding year, as much as most of us don't want to admit it.

Wow, deleted sitings in back to back posts. I have to admit, I found that amusing amidst the gloom.
Unless something miraculous happens, we're looking at 3-6 after Saturday. Finishing over .500 is beginning to look like a pipedream.
