I've been thinking on our recent run of play, and at least for yesterday's game, I've come up with a diagnosis.
This team depends on chemistry. The more they play together, the better they do. Conversely, if a new player is introduced to the mix, bad things can happen.
Yesterday, according to the announcers, we had a new player on the court for large stretches. On a low-def broadcast, he looks suspiciously like a mix between Jeremiah Rivers and Omar Wattad. The announcers informed us that this new guard is named "Omar Woo-Todd."
What's the deal with inserting this new player smack-dab in the middle of the BE season? This Woo-Todd player is clearly upsetting the rhythm of things, leading to bad results.

It worked when Victor Shomnick showed up late in the season a few years ago.

seriously - i thought omar was supposed to be a spot up shooter - who tried really hard on defense? ie - a better nikita.
he had that game last year where he dropped 3 or 4 3's. was i wrong in this assumption - or is he just in the same shooting slump the rest of the team is.

While it seems like last year Joey, the three 3s he hit were v. Tennessee in the Old Spice Classic...

Geez, you know things are going bad when a satirical thread meant to point out an announcer error gets this serious this quickly. Or did you guys not follow that?

The Woo in Woo-taad was tonally rather similar to the sound of a good whistle-tip.

Why must we insist on putting up new threads for everything that passes through our heads.. Honestly now this is getting a tad bit too much

Or adding to threads they find useless...... Useless? What about the obvious Rich-ism this could lead to whenever Omar scores from inside the arc - "Woo for two!"?

It worked when Victor Shomnick showed up late in the season a few years ago. IIRC, Shomnick was related to Victor Riley.
