- Came out flat which is absolutely embarrassing. Mich St. and Wake just got beat at home the night before. Neither JT III or this team was prepared
- Goes without saying, but probably the worst rebounding team in the BE
- Monroe (and I love him) has no clue how to post up. Never puts a guy on his back instead time after time made the guy on the perimeter make an impossible pass
- I wish I could find those posts crowning Chris Wright as the next great PG, those are becoming amusing
- Hey 3 ball isn't falling, why not just shoot some more
- Tell me the last time this "Princeton" offense led to an uncontested hoop, none tonight, again
- Rouff shoots even half decent we lose by 30, open all night.
- Did I mention rebounding?
- This is the worst we have played all season by far and usually i wait day before posting to take the emotional aspect out of my post, but that was disgusting.
- Also I won't blame the fans - this team gave them nothing to cheer about.

Greg was double teamed all night and still should have gotten the ball more. Jessie Sapp needs to sit. Chris Wright needs a talking to and to look up the word "defense." When we're good we're really good. When we're bad, we're absolutely horrific. I'd rather give the ball to DaJuan every possession and have him go 5 on 1 and lose that way.

This may be the worst loss of the JTIII era. Absolutely embarrassing. I've never seen one of his teams play this way. There's something wrong with the chemistry of this team. They don't seem to play together. I think the Sapp thing is really affecting the entire team.
I just can't believe we came out and played this way. We should seriously drop out of the top 25 for this performance.

Mediocre and overrated. This is NOT a top 20 team.

Agree, we are not a Top 25 team. This team is inconsistent and has way too many weaknesses to be considered a "ranked" team. Just came out with no emotion, energy or desire. Honestly, the worst I have seen a JT3 team play, especially at home.
When we cannot shoot from 3 we might as well pack up and go home because we keep chuckin it and we cannot get a rebound.

Disgusting is fair. At the same time I think it's important to point out that we've played like 2 impressive games this year and in both of those games (Cuse and especially UConn) our opponent played well below their normal level. I think expectations and talk of a Big East 3 peat have never been well-founded. This is a middle of the pack big east team and a youngish team who is going to lose some games like these, just as we win some that maybe we shouldn't (UConn).
But yes, this game was terrible. Even before it was clear we'd get blown out it was awful. I was hoping there'd be a good movie on so I'd have an excuse to watch something else, it was that ugly. Going cold from the field is one thing but our whole team just looked disinterested, nobody had a good game and I'm sick of getting pwned on the boards by every single team. I know III wants highly-skilled system guys but damn we really need to find somebody who can grab the damn ball. And, unfortunately as of right now that isn't going to get any better next year either.

We weren't a Top 25 team tonight, but even Top 25 teams lay eggs once in a while.
We need to recover, though.

Thing is... we ARE a top 20 team. And we STILL looked this bad. I can't recall a game in recent years where we looked worse. I don't think the Jessie thing is affecting the entire team. If it is, when we play like we did today, free Jessie up on screens and have him shoot ALL NIGHT. Get it out. Get it done. Take the beating we took anyway and let Jessie shoot the ball 25 times. If you're gonna crap the bed like this anyway by not executing ANY aspect of our typical game, just give it to Jessie and don't even go for the offensive rebound (well, we did that part). Absolutely atrocious. I'm going to burn any G'Town gear I wore watching this game as, clearly, there's bad karma associated with it.

As an addendum, I hope the boys aced their midterms cuz it sure seems like they've been doing something other than practicing. Maybe everyone is still hung over from the inauguration? E-bola virus? Meningitis? Group labotomy? What?

Rebounding - rebounding - rebounding. Forced shots + no attempt to rebound = Flashbacks to Craig Esherick Era. Effort was questionable for the first time all year. Also - anyone put out an missing persons report on Simms - JTIII did not think he needed a 6'10 Center tonight?

The recruiting package is poorly thought out...so that next year will have all the same problems.
The Thompson "finesse" theory is looking very wan...this just isn't the Ivy league. . Depressing

Guys, Jesse was not the weakest link out there. At least he had 3 assists, Wright and Clark had 0 combined. That is truly pathetic. At least Sapp gets us a board or two and tries to make a play with some questionable passes. The other two just stood around tonight watching Bryant and Co bomb away from 3.
I just cannot stand this team's attitude on the court. It is like they really do not care at times. No hustle players at all outside of Wattad.

Yeah well...a request for the fans on the sidelines: When we make a run and get w/in two points, everyone stands, cheers, things look optimistic. And then, the first time ANYTHING happens (a foul, a turnover, a missed shot, a Editeding timeout!) everyone sits back down like the game is over. And we never hear a peep from anyone the rest of the game. Can we fix that?

I sit in HHC territory that doesn't come cheap, yet there were far more and far louder WVU fans in my section than Hoya fans. It was the single most miserable in-person experience of my several decades as a sports fan. Is there some reason people can't bother to come to a game on time? Is there some reason the pep band doesn't start playing until around 5 minutes before start?

I'm disappointed too, but, guys, lighten up.
Life will go on. I promise. The team might even continue it's season, you never know.

Absolutely unacceptable performance tonight. They had five days to prepare for this game. And everyone said the easy part of the schedule was coming up. Well it didn't show tonight. It's also embarrasing the way they were outhustled and outplayed in front of a home crowd. I have tickets for the Sunday game but might not even go after watching this disgusting game.

98... if you're not disgusted by what you saw tonight, why are you here? This was awful. Snarky comments about tomorrow coming are pure genius. However, if this team plays another game like it played tonight, every tomorrow will result in a loss. If that's all cool with you... sweet. Go hit that 6 foot graphix and focus on world peace. This is a message board about the team. The team that looked like a youth league team that was running late for dinner and just had to get it over with. If you care that little, don't post.
