-Wright is really the only true PG and a blue-chip one, there's no reason to change long term; his "problem" stems from his ESTP brain type a la Steve Nash, i.e. he likes to push and initiate the action at full throttle, which is nasty on the break but obviously sometimes a problem in the half-court, hasty shots and forced plays. If and when JTIII can find a way to channel the true Nash-like wild horse Chris Wright into the offense for 40 minutes, not just slow him down and take away his game, that would be nasty all around. He keeps the D on its heels at all times, I love it.
By the way, seems to me
-JClark - great jack of all trades, huge bball IQ, a playmaker, not a true PG.
-Freeman has maybe the best pure handle on the team, he'd be my backup PG. Fantastic vision/spatial awareness, finds people.
-Sapp scored more in previous years because they played super-slow clunky-ball. This year's higher-speed tempo doesn't benefit him, he's not great with split-second spontaneous offensive decisions, he rushes them or gets tangled up a lot--but if he just sticks with bread and butter shots and uses his size he can still be effective. Basically I think he's trying to play more like Wright and Clark, he needs to just play like himself.

Except for some lazy passes earlier, Freeman has improved his handle a great deal since last year.

JT3 doesn't classify his players by that specific of a position, nor does the offense require 1 PG, 1 SG, 1 SF, etc. Clark was "brought here" because he's a heck of a good guard.

i think Wright's ability gave us the best chance to be duke. there guards were playing tight man/man and you had to go by them. Just running the o, wasn't going to work. yea, he made some mistakes late in the 1st half but when we were winning he was getting into the lane and dishing. He shouldn't have been benched that long in the 2nd half. JT3 is a great coach but that move might help in clarks development, but it made winning that game harder.

Theories and conceptual explanations bore them – they want to act energetically to solve the problem. Focus on the here-and-now, spontaneous, enjoy each moment that they can be active with others. Enjoy material comforts and style. Learn best through doing.

I was actually thinking Nash and he are much more ENTPs -- the N standing for iNtuition rather than Sensing. But that's just me.

First the offense is made to take advatage of man to man played tight. It up to the players to execute. Chris did a pretty decent job for the first 15 min or so by kicking out on penetration on both the fast and secondary break. They started to do a better job of taking this away as the game progressed but he seemed to want to push and probe with the dribble wasting 15 sec a trip before starting or attemting to run the offense.resulting in a forced outside shot or a forced pass with a tunover, This was more pronounced with Monroe on the bench. He wasnt helped by the fact that we decided to stand around and watch him instead of executing the offense. Especially at the under mark when they made a big run. On the defensive side he failed to attemt to go under or over a couple of screens and was clueless as a cutter came down the lane for a pass that could have been broken up but he stood flat footed in the low post and didnt even make an attempt to contest an easy layup. This more than anything else may have earned him time on the bench in the second 1/2. I do agree that Chris playing his game on both sides gives us the best chance to win.In this game it seemed that at the 15 min mark he either got rattled, the legs got tired and he hit a physical or mental wall and three realized that defense and effort was what was going to get them back in it. I'd like to think that without the game changing T on Monroe we would have seen more of wright in the second half but we'll never know. I can only hope that he comes ready to play on thursday what we don't need is 2 guards going into a funk.
