I thought the post was bad w/ Hoya coverage-NJ.com's pre-game "article" looked like a preview for a WNBA game.
Secondly-wow, the Hoya (and the campus in general)hopped off the bandwagon quickly. An ugly played loss and suddenly all the NCAA tournament talk seems to have disappeared from campus. It really didn't matter that the loss was to a top ten team-it's like everyone had flashbacks to the Esherick era and are reacting the way they used too. The Hoyas need to beat SH tonight to get the buzz on campus going again.

"We've still got more games to win. It's a great honor, with all the great Hoyas that have been here, but now I'm past it, and it means nothing to me. It kind of didn't mean anything to me, anyhow."

Davis summed up the night from a promotional standpoint:
"Georgetown's retro night qualified as thoroughly lame. Neither team wore throwback uniforms, and few fans actually got into the '80s act."

Not that I think it's a good paper or anything, but does anybody else kinda take offense that the new Washington Examiner doesn't cover the Hoyas???

Not terribly offended that they wouldn't have a Hoyas beat reporter; their resources are stretched pretty thin as it is. But not to run a wire recap? Not even a box score? That's hard to excuse. The only place you could find the score was in the agate-type national roundup. Pretty poor. It's too bad, otherwise, it's a pretty decent paper--for its first week.

There's a Washington Examiner? Check out the big red containers or dispensers(whatever the hell you call them) outside the dining hall or the entrance to McCarthy.
