More props for Jeff! Gregg Doyel lists Jeff Green as the 2nd most surprising freshmen in this year's class behind Manhattan's CJ Anderson. He only includes freshmen who were not consensus top-100 recruits coming out of high school. "2. Jeff Green, Georgetown: The Hoyas are much better than anyone expected in John Thompson III's first season, in large part because the same can be said of Green. The 6-8 forward does it all, averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 blocked shots." www.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/8150576

I believe that we offered Anderson, and were a serious contender along with (I think) Pitt. Ultimately, I guess he opted for the sure playing time and the chance to be the number one option from the get-go at Manhattan.

Ultimately, I guess he opted for the sure playing time and the chance to be the number one option from the get-go at Manhattan. Manhattan was on him for a very long time, well before the other, bigger programs came along. He stuck with the team that was there with him from the beginning. Good for him, and for them. JT3 is just getting started.
