It's a good thing the Giants/Iggles game wasn't put in a 1 p.m. slot today, otherwise attendance at the Providence game would be about 25% of what it will be.

19-14 duke at half. Luckily, I didn't have to watch cuz I have the ESPNU, brought to you by Snuggie.

Since I couldn't watch our game, I've been watching St. Joe's-Rhode Island which just went into triple overtime thanks to a URI 3 at the buzzer.

I was at the WVU-MU game. Both teams played very good defense--MU was just stifling for the last ten minutes of the game and blew it open. This team is better off without Crean's micromanaged offense with the senior-led roster that it has now. They will give everybody a test, and I don't think its fair to expect more than a 1-1 split with them.
I just have a feeling Monroe will have foul trouble in the game on January 31. The 'Eers must have been called for 30 fouls in the game, thanks in large part to MU's penetrate and go to the FT line strategy, yet MU's world famous ref-blaming crowd was still dissatisfied. The guy behind me was groaning at every call--convinced Marquette was being screwed. Every time I try to open-mindedly revisit my opinion that MU fans complain about officiating more than any other group in college hoops, something like this happens. Hilarious.

So, who at DePaul is going to step up, be a man, and do the Old Yeller routine with Jerry Wainwright?

Hilarious.[/quote] Sounds like you are from Wisconsin. Have you ever watched a Wisconsin Badger game? Those fans complain more than anyone...and Bo Ryan leads the charge. Its a joke the way their fans and Bo Ryan react to a call that goes against them. Anyways, regarding the game... -Very good second half. We let Butler go off in the first half, thank God he got in quick foul trouble and missed most of the 2nd half. -For the 2nd time in the last 3 games, James held the opposing PG scoreless. First Deonte Vaughn of Cincy and today Darryl Bryant. His defense this year has been unbelievable. -Both James and Mcneal played all 40 minutes. Buzz only used 2 bench guys. -We have a great chance to start the Big East season 6-0, with upcoming games against Providence and Depaul, before heading to Notre Damne on the 26th and then vs. GT on the 31st. Regarding GT... -Marquette hasnt been tested against a real "big" yet this year. However, 3 games in a row we face Koshwal, Harangody, and Monroe...so the tests arent that far off. -Monroe will give our bigs (Burke, Hazel) serious problems I think. The way he takes the ball at the top of the key and drives...yikes.

Marquette's coached by Bubba Sparxx now--so we have a new name for the new Warrior coach-(yes I know the name is changed--but I don't care--they are Warriors, the Cuse are Orangemen, SJU is Redmen).

While this isn't exactly games of intrest, UNC just lost their second ACC game in a row, and is 0-2 in the ACC. I guess when people say college basketball is down this year and a wide open field they can't exclude UNC anymore.

There's a fun 3 way race in the ACC. But I see it as a 4 bid league.
