She should have gotten in his grill. Maybe she doesn't know (OMFG) that we went to the Final Four in 2007? THAT would be even worse.
Temporary boycott of Chef Geoff's?

Why not boycott NBC/MSNBC? Get Chuck where he (and Norah) lives.
Don't blame Geoff; he serves good beer.
Does WG still have a basketball program?

Don't blame Geoff; he serves good beer. And its in super-mugs and the burgers they serve during their happy hour are really good. If there is a boycott on Geoff's downtown, I know where my loyalties lie.

My firm's DC office is right across from the Geoff's near the White House. As I'm down there a fair amount, I would be more than torn.

Forgive the newbie, but why "WG?" I tried searching the boards, but without at least a 4-character seach term you can't do anything.
Thanks!

Thanks! hoyatalk2.proboards48.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=4897&page=7See post 128 and go from there. That was around the time the WG huffing and puffing heated up. It cooled off when Pops got hurt, WG bombed in the A-10 tourney, got a lower NCAA seed than GU, got bounced in the second round and GU made the S16, George Mason made the Final Four which overshadowed everything WG did that year, I graduated from the Elliott School's grad program, the WG AD and sports promo people did nothing to capitalize on the publicity from their run, Vanderbilt obliterated them in the NCAA the following year, Karl Hobbs went crazy, they got rid of the Hippo mascot (sort of), they got rid of the Hippo president (Trachtenberg), all the good players graduated, the Atlantic 11 went to town on what was left, and that chick during the election WG'd her face and blamed it on Obama supporters.

Well, let's see: First the earth cooled. And, then the dinosaurs came, but they got too big and fat, so they all died, and they turned into oil. And, then the Arabs came and they bought Mercedes Benzes. And, Prince Charles started wearing all of Lady Di's clothes. I couldn't believe it, he took her best summer dress out of the closet, and put it on, and went to town.

Oh man, I always thought we spelled it WG to avoid the banner changing to one of their school. Well this makes sense now.

Political geeks (not to mention politicians) should never talk about sports. They suck at it. Tim Russert was "cute" at it -- at best. Everyone else is a moron.
Small exception for George Will, who can be allowed to talk about baseball and nothing else.
...which I won't mind because I don't read about baseball.

To be fair, Will is the author of one of the best football quotes ever (inexact quote): "Football combines two of the worst features of American society. It is violence punctuated by committee meetings."
