He has only a nominal grasp of the Hubbert Curve, lacks a nuanced understanding of Gramsci's writings on cultural hedgemony, his conversational french is middling at best and I heard he's really struggling to complete his most recent translation of the complete poems of Pindar.

If he was right handed would people say he needs to develop his left hand? It's not just some token comment about how every basketball player would be better by being ambidextrous. It's coming to light now after the Pitt game because every time Blair played Monroe for his left in the post, Monroe would either try to go right (and look extremely uncomfortable doing so, miss, get blocked, etc.) or fake right and go back to the left. And it's coming to light after the ND game because the announcers who had probably seen the Pitt game noticed the same thing and said it on air. So if Monroe were right handed and overly dependent on his strong hand to the point where somebody exposed that weakness, then yes, people would hopefully say that he needs to develop his left hand. exactly. during the pitt game, with his back to the basket, he would drop step left for a wide open right handed layup but ended up shooting an awkward looking left handed fade shot. it's part of the normal growth process of a big man. roy developed quite a good left handed hooker in the lane.

Who is this Greg Monroe? I don't think I've heard of him. He must not be doing much. He's no Samardo Samuels or Tyreke Evans. He's gotta be some 4 year project that might be considered NBA-ready in 3 more years due to the wise and excellent tutelage of the unrivaled, well-respected John Thompson III. His boys come in and leave as men. Men ready for life and, a lot of times, the NBA. I heard this Greg Monroe is 6' 10" but could use some muscle on him. You can't teach height but JT3 can teach him everything else. I bet by his senior year with Mr. Thompson's teachings, this Greg Monroe guy might get some national attention.
In any case, I could swear in one broadcast this year one of the commentators said that Greg is actually a natural righty. Truth? Fallacy? Anyway, he does need to go to his right more often.

Greg Monroe needs to develop a thorough love of Wisey's, red hot loathing for the exterior of Lauinger, and an extensive familiarity with the tunnels. These things cannot be taught in a year. All I learned in one year of Georgetown was that showing up in a herd was no way to get into a party...and I don't think Monroe has that issue.

Monroe is only 18 years old. I'm sure his right hand will come in time.

Mostly Lax, pull a Jim Brown on them.
I like where we are going with this, but 95% pf what learned at GU is the type stuff that gets edited or at least fails a Edited test, so I'm out.
PS: If "Edited" in that context gets edited I will be Editeded and quite possibly barred for what I will say next

This is one of the funnier threads of the new year! In all seriousness though, Greg does have a serious case of Vic Page-itis (goes all left virtually all the time). Two, maybe three, additional years on the Hilltop should cure it!

Greg definitely needs to develop skills playing in the month of April. He should stay as long as that takes!

If he doesn't stick around and take some higher level business and econ classes, he will be far more likely to be swindled out of his NBA millions by accountants and stockbrokers. Educated people never get swindled out of their millions. Nosiree.
