The Hoyas have six or more 4-star and 5-star players on the team. Let them play! I think they can beat most teams with their talent. I think they are restricted in the Princeton Offensive, at times. A team like Notre Dame, the Hoyas can beat with their talent alone. The Hoyas need to adjust their style of play, as needed.
Sumners and Monroe need to be featured more in the offense. Wright needs to be moved to the shooting guard position. Freeman and Sapp should provide the scoring off the bench. Clark and Sims should be inserted in the starting lineup. Clark should handle the point guard position with Sims taking the power forward position. The bigger front line should help with the rebounding.
The starting five should be:
MONROE -- SIMS --- SUMNERS --- CLARK --- WRIGHT

Yes, change one of the most efficient offenses in the country for the past 4 years.
Relax, this team will be fine.
And III IMO has tweaked things this year, and he is learning and improving as a coach.
Look at how much more we are getting to the line this year.
The same Henry Sims who was getting bashed now is a starter to a bunch of people..go figure...

Really?
So we should bench Jessie & Austin, and give starters min to Sims and just them them do what they want offensively? Sims can chuck up 3's all day, Monroe can watch as no one feeds him the ball down low because everyone is trying to get theirs, Wright can drive into the trees and hope someone rebounds an ill advised shot?
I also like the idea of starting Sumners (apparently hes a transfer from LA-LA land where you get your ideas).
There is a reason we made the final 4 and won back to back BE titles, giving up on that for 1 game because you thought we lost a game we could have won is assine. Your getting spoiled, JT3's system works so well it makes us think we can win every game and when we don't people want to toss the system out the window.
Newsflash, 54 straight teams have walked into ND's building trying to get a win and were turned away.
Have faith in JT3 he's earned it.

I am so happy you decided to start a new thread here to make your ignorance more obvious- it might have been hidden under a basket in one of the numerous other threads discussing the game, but here it shines likes a beacon atop a hill.
Seriously, Sims needs to start? After one competent outing, because, I suppose, he is a "five-star"? Abandon the offense that has been one of the most effective and efficient in the country for the past five years (and managed to destroy UCon a whole week ago) to "let them play?" Good God.

Come on man. Why is it every time we lose a close game, it's the system's fault? Like Allen said, this offense has been one of the best in the country year after year since III got here. There should be no doubters left as to whether or not it works.
As for the other suggestions:
Summers was in foul trouble. Hence the lack of time on the floor. You saw the game Bow, right?
Monroe I don't think could have gotten more touches than he already did without us completely abandoning the offense. 21 points and 10 rebs doesn't come without being at least somewhat of a focal point. It's not like he was getting all his numbers on putbacks.
Wright is clearly our best ball handler. Why would we move him to the SG position?
This was the first Sims had shown any kind of life (the SSU game notwithstanding) all year. And now you want to anoint him a starter? Good grief. He's still nowhere ready to be a starter. Aside from a putback dunk, he was still very hesitant on offense. The activity on the boards and on defense was better, but this was not a "gotta-change-the-starting-lineup" type of performance from Henry.
The only thing I'll give you right now is that maybe Clark starts over Sapp. But honestly, if Clark is going to start seeing 20-25 minutes a game like he did tonight, whoever starts really doesn't matter.
Again, much like the other thread on rebounding. Hello people: we won the boards tonight. Check the box score. Rebounding was unusually enough not the issue tonight.
Please, please, PLEASE stop with the overreactions.

This is laughable. P.S. Austin Freeman was an McD All American, not Jason Clark. And Austin was All-Met player of the year of Chris Wright.

Honestly, I think we should do everything to prevent them from playing to their ability.

Why does III only let five players play on the court at a time? This team has a lot of talent, just send them all out there and see who steps up!

Stupid Princeton offense probably.

I heard that III poured concrete in our players' shoes last night before the game. No wonder they were a step slow! Now that is what I call holding them back!
Now that Dog the Bounty Hunter is no longer making new episodes, can we dispatch him to find the posters who make these gloom-and-doom posts and hold them down in the backseat of his SUV while Duane Lee sprays them with mace?

The first image that comes up w/ a google image search for "Sumners": www.math.fsu.edu/~sumners/sumners.jpgI don't think he looks like a 3. Maybe a 2 if we're lucky. Plus, for all we know he doesn't have eligibility left. But it's worth a shot, I guess.

As a resident of SoCal, I resent the implication that spouting gibberish is a trait associated with this region of the country. After all, it's been a long time since Jerry Brown was our governor. Also, I support the suggestion that we just cut everyone and start again. While we're at it, let's get rid of the coach and re-hire the previous coach.
