Among the offerings for the Spring 2009 semester is BIOL-009: Biology of Drugs, taught by Janet Russell. The description on the Registrar's website features the following: This course will primarily focus on the biology of drugs and people with some attention to the political, economic, and environmental factors associated with drug development. We will use pharmaceutical, over the counter, and street drugs to explore how drugs come to be and how they work. Is Pops going to have to have a confrontation with Prof. Russell and tell her that no players will be enrolling in her class? Will Harvey Thomas be returning to campus to serve as a TA? Will the good professor realize that she may want to alter her mind wording? Only time will tell.

An entry level Bio class where everyone takes drugs?
Second semester seniors' dream come true!

Can they have this as one of those seminars at alumni events?

We are actually doing work (at the EPA) on the environmental factors due to pharmaceutical use. After use or when flushed down the toilet, they get into the environment. The Potomac has male fish with female characteristics, probably from all the birth control pills excreted into the river.

No, I hate shopping, but I think I might have seen a Hugh Grant movie once. Didn't Cole Porter have a song about this (even educated fish do it...)

Don't get me started on the snakeheads. I spent a whole summer internship reading the Post's daily coverage of the affair.

Darn, I would've had a perfect attendance record in this class. I think even if it was on Friday at 8 am. We could study the effects first hand! I need to go back to college.

Wait, we can speculate on stuff and get it into The Hoya?
I heard Jack Degioia offered Old South to Blago in exchange for Illinois' senate seat.

Giving an entire Georgetown class hefty doses of LSD could provide some of the greatest comedy the world has ever seen.
