Rutgers is giving Pitt a game early. That probably won't hold up, but anything the Knights can do to wear Pitt down would be much appreciated.

Im looking for Pitt to pull it out, but they are looking less threatening then i thought. I have only been watching out of the corner of my eye but it is looking like Rutgers is driving on Pitt hard and playing a 2-3 Match up zone. Does that ssound right? Thats pretty much what GU did to UConn, so im liking the match up on Saturday.

Blair just picked up his 4th with 11+ to go. His two fouls in the second half are for ever so slightly bumping a guy on a hedge out, and a very soft infraction if any on a rebounding atttempt following a FT. He's played maybe 10-11 minutes in the game. Rosario's got some flash but that's really the only redeeming thing about the 2nd half so far. Seen RU throw up at least 4 airballs in 10 minutes, and Pitt seems incapable of running a coherent offense against the RU zone. Dangerous though they are, and a tough matchup for GU...in 10 minutes I'm seeing exactly why Pitt is never a threat for the Final Four once Tournament time begins.

Pitt has looked very unfocused. but since blair went out they seem to have turned a corner and are playing with focus. well see how rutgers responds

Finally Pitt takes a two point lead. Don't want them coming into Washington with a loss from Rutgers.

On the Rutgers side, at the end of the game, it comes down to the fact that they simply can't shoot. They might get hot for a while, but inevitably they have a stretch with several airballs from outside, three or four missed layups and putbacks, etc. It's really odd. I can't remember a team that looks good right up until the point the ball is released.
As for Pitt, Sam Young is really freaking good. And there's a good chance Blair plays 30+ against us. Pitt has the usual issues, like FL said, for the tourney. But that's irrelevant for Saturday.

Rutgers is killing Pitt on the offensive boards, though.

I would go so far as to say Sam Young may be the best player in the conference. He's that good. A definite pro

Too bad Blair didn't play that many minutes. I wanted him to be worn down for saturday. Still, Pitt got pushed hard and they are on a road trip. We gotta come out hard. No let up!

This Providence- St. Johns game is a little difficult to watch. Yeesh!
On the other hand, it's better watching this than a 40-pt. Duke win over Loyola, Md. Why in God's name does ESPN televise all of Duke's cupcake games??
Yes, I realize the answer is "ratings," but I have a hard time believing that. Does anyone who is not a Duke fan/alum find that to be entertaining television/basketball? And I don't think there's a "Duke nation" across the country that would justify it.
Stupid ESPN.

SJU is just dreadful.
3 Big East wins for them would be an accomplishment.

Louisville is an atrociously bad offensive team. Amazing. I thought Padgett was important, but this is ridiculous.
