It's time to start recognizing him as one of the best point guards in the country. He's almost impossible to keep out of the lane off the dribble, he's got a huge heart and he dominated Price and Walker tonight.
I think he'll be the best PG in the country next season, and a surefire lottery pick. I just want to enjoy him because after years and years of mediocre PG play, following Iverson, he'll eventually go down as one of the best guards to wear a GU uniform.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For all those who argued that Wright was the 2nd best point guard in the BE... and I argued he wasn't... well, we were both wrong. He's the best and I stand corrected.
Loved the way he took the game over at the end of the half. Loved how he controlled pace. Love how he breaks the press. Love how he can get into the lane at will.
WOW...i am at a loss for words.

Duren There have been other really good ones, but no one in the class with the top 4. Not to say Wright couldn't end up there. That kid has cajones. No fear.

I can't wait to see him match up with Fields. That should be a great one.

As a big Jon Wallace fan I have to object to the use of the word mediocre, however the point is well taken, Wright is easily our most talented guard since AI.... Not sure he's the best in the conference yet, still think Cuse's point might be a little better, but he's certainly one of the best in a conference of excellent point guards, and he's only getting started. If he stays 4 years, forget about it. I am just hoping that we can scrape together enough talent up front to capitalize on the great play we're going to get from Wright and Freeman over the next couple years.

still he has made some bonehead plays and is too aggressive or cute at times leading to turnovers... but wow he's a breath of fresh air after Wallace, Cook, Drew Hall and Braswell. his potential is at a whole other level and he's starting to reach it this year.
On Edit: I'm clearly talking about Wright's creating/playmaking ability as compared to previous gtown PGs since Iverson. No slight to JWall or any of the others, but none of these guys had the potential (as I said) of Chris Wright as far as controlling a game on the offensive and defensive end and being a true point in the NBA.

And he has only played one regular season BE game! This kid could be big-time. I want to see him continue to improve.
Such a luxury to have to solid ball handlers in the backcourt with Wright and Sapp, the press seems so less daunting.

There is NO better rebounding guard in the country. When Chris makes mistakes, he atones for them with his effort on the defensive end. Iverson-esque in his speed with the ball and ability to create shots for himself and teammates. I loved Jon Wallace because of his maturity and ability to take care of the basketball and as the season goes on Chris will develop that and be Jon Wallace on steroids! Thank God he plays for us!

Actually, I thought at times tonight he looked a lot like Charles Smith. That drive and score, and that drive and dump off after he was in the air, were very Smithy.

I like Wright and think he plays very well, but he does make some bad decisions on the break. And while he's different from Wallace, I wouldn't use a loaded phrase like "breath of fresh air" in comparison. Wallace was a heck of a fine guard for us and while he was nowhere near as athletic as Wright he made a lot of good decisions and made us a very tough team to beat.
Again, I think Wright's great, but he's got room to grow.

I am going to wait until after at least one full season to annoint Chris, and I certainly am not going to throw Jon under the bus ONE GAME into the BE season like that, but I am extremely encouraged. He's been fantastic so far. Charles Smith also makes my top 3.
Who is D. Jackson? Did you mean M. Jackson?

How quickly after getting the shiny new sports car with an enormous engine that we forget about the old stationwagon with 150,000 miles that never broke down and got us from here to Atlanta.
Of course, Wallace was never really a point guard...so maybe we have a point here. Plus, sports cars sure are fun.
Really though, I made this post to point out that the Google ad when I opened this thread featured a Soulja Boy clone with the text:
Chedda Gets Cheddar
Read How I Make 5Gs a Month With Free Government Money
and a link to CheedasBlingBlog.com.
So I've got my nickname for the sports car Chris.
