It's hardly a new kind of basketball. Between Loyola Marymount, those early-90s Nuggets teams, etc.
Run and gun with no D is nice at some levels, but you run into real issues with a team that can play some D and score.

Let me get this straight. ESPN does not have room to schedule SU-GU, but they have room to show Grinnell and their version of bozo ball at a D3 level? That's absurd.

Im actually interested in watching this. GU-SU should have been on also without a doubt, but that doesn't mean they shouldnt show this.

in some texas girls basketball leagues, they split the court in half and play 3:2. sounds like this guy does the same thing and with <sarcasm> resounding success </sarcasm>.

Redlands University out here in SoCal is similar. They average way over 100 a game, and an article in the LA Times said that they do nothing but run, and tend to rotate players out in shifts of under a minute. The game that was featured in the article was one they lost something like 153-149.

Haha silly kchoya, like MTV2 actually shows Music Videos? It did for like 2 years and now its the same crap that's on MTV. I think they should launch MTV3 for music videos. And like the Sports Guy says, when he's in charge of ESPN8 in 2021 maybe games like G'Town-Cuse will actually find their way onto TV.

ESPN8 (The Ocho!) is the network that carries the World Dodgeball Championships, brought to you by Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks. "I'm being told that Average Joe's does not have enough players and will be forfeiting the championship match." "It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for 'em."

My cousin went to Grinnell for a year and a half and said that going to basketball games there was rediculously fun. Their cheering section couldnt start up cheers pertaining to the game because possessions didn't last long enough, so they often resorted to mocking the other team with chants. Imagine trying to yell "DE-FENSE" for a team that willingly gives up layups and concedes over 100 points a game.
Their system is basically the polar opposite of ours, but it definitely has worked for their situation. It gets locals and students excited about going to games, and lets their student-athletes all participate. It sounds like a lot of fun to watch and play in, but I'm content with the system we have here. Call me old-fashioned.

My Statistics teacher went to Grinnell for one year.
Said he hated the place and the team.
He was good at basketball, but wanted academics, and that's what Grinnell gave him since he wasn't NBA material obviously.
Anyway, he never played.
This about sums up his 1 year career:
He was always bullied a bit by thsi one guy in his hometown. The guy looked up my teach's performance on the Grinnell team and talked to the guy's mother...
"Your son plays for Grinnell College in Iowa, right"
"Yes sir"
"What league are they in?"
"**whatever league**"
"That's right..now Grinnell is doing pretty poorly in that league, right? They're last or something?"
"Yes"
"How much does your son play?"
"Almost never"
"So...that would make your son the worst player, on the worst team, in the worst confrence, of the worst division of college basketball..."
"I guess...why do you care?"
"No reaon...just wanted you to know your son is the worst college basketball player in America."
Hehehe...greatest story I've ever heard.
