They wanted Vee to prep anyway. Don't think he'd do a prep just for them when other biggies are offering him to come in and contribute right away, which every kid wants to do. Think that rubbed his folks the wrong way anyway.

Did they want him to prep for lack of an available scholarship or for more development?

pr- from my understanding a little bit of both. of course, UK fans think BCG is making a huge mistake......but right now if BCG said 2+2=4 i think 50% of Wildcat nation would still question him. however, it is obvious GTOWN/JT3 thinks he is making a mistake. And that is the most important thing.

I think they wanted to "stash" him, see how he develops, get stronger, keep him away from others, etc. His game apparently has gotten so much better very quickly. The kid is a player, works really hard and has the IQ right now. Has to get stronger. Hoops accumen is there and we all know that III loves the accumen in players.

A guy like Jon brought that extra bit of forethought to running the offense that was missing this year, he really kept the pieces together. Not that the guy on the team are not smart, but you could tell when it came anticipating what the defense was doing and what coach wanted, Jon really got it. If vee (or anybody else) can bring some of this that would be awesome. although it is good that subconsciously he listed us first... (hey I need SOME optimism on this board!) Im with you ;D he also said "Georgetown University" and not just Georgetown, but all the other schools were just the shortened versions! (we need some hope right!)

I think there is a Georgetown College in Kentucky that plays in the NAIA, but I am not sure. (Hope that I am not crushing any hope)

A quick 3FG related question:
Have high schools moved back the 3FG line to match the NCAA, or are they still at 19'9"?

HS line is same as it always has been. Which may be why henry thought he could still hit threes earlier this year...

I'm going to have something up on him soon, but it looks like it's going to be hard to beat Georgetown for his services. He'll be on campus sometime at the end of April or early May. But it looks like a couple of commitments will be forthcoming.
per hoya report!!!!

completely agree with enj on this. actually i think mods should modify the post, as it was taken completely from another source (akin to posting an article in its entirety)
What was posted? Nothing shows up on the logs. PM me with details.--Admin
