I'm sure the Celtics fans would disagree.

Not even close--McHale is a nightmare and should not only be fired--he should be beaten up by any season ticket holder for not having Brandon Roy due to him coveting Randy Foye--which led to Dwayne Casey's firing as he wanted Roy instead.

Maybe now that McHale has stepped down, but probably not--way too much winning. " Under his leadership, the Giants have won a National League pennant (2002), three NL West Division flags (1997, 2000 and 2003), been a Wild Card entry (2002) and forced a Wild Card tie-breaker game with Chicago in 1998. On two other occasions, the club was eliminated from post season contention on the last day of the season. He has guided the club to four post season berths - the club's most in an 11-season span since 1915–25." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Sabean

Of course, Sabean also turned the most dominant baseball player since Babe Ruth into one World Series appearance.
The guy is better than McHale -- he signed Bonds. But that's about it.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Detroit Lions of the AFC! You aren't even close. The worst GM in all of sport is Mike Brown of the Cincinnati Bengals. Yes, technically he is also the owner, which is the only thing that has prevented him from firing himself. However, under his 18 seasons of stewardship the Bengals have: - 1 winning season - 1 playoff appearance - 0 playoff wins - 98-186-1 record, worst amongst all 4 professional sports leagues during the period - Will almost assuredly be the fastest GM to guide a team to 200 losses - Assuming he eventually makes it there, will be the slowest GM to 100 wins. - Begun 1/3rd of their seasons under his command at 0-6 or worse. - Ranked 97 (out of 98) in Forbes' 2007 GM rankings (#98 has since been fired) Join the Revolution!
