Just want to say how happy I was to see DUKE lose today, they looked absolutley lost. I know ranked 4 was way to high for them but, after seeing todays performance i think we have alot better chance than i originally thought at the beginining of the season.. It seems like they dont get the same calibr of talent we get or UNC gets the past few years. I was really happy for michigan and there fans. When i seen the fans storm the court it reminded me of when we won and stormed the court. Its nice to see a program on the rise with a new coach, beat DUKE, sounds much like us!

Move along folks. Nothing to see here. Just another Hoya fan obsessing on Duke and polluting this board by giving them unnecessary air time. Keep on moving...

Even before today I felt that Duke was the 2nd most overrated team behind UCLA this year. Both teams over ranked because of the four letters on the front of their jersey. Especially UCLA with their recent final four appearances and having Collison back.
I know playing in Cameron is tough but after the few Big East games before our road match up with Duke I told my friend the other day I'd be pretty shocked if Duke beat us in Jan and didn't shoot 50+% from 3.

How about Michigan state in terms of overranked?
UM also used a lot of backdoor cuts and quick, strong decisive drives to the basket against K's man to man D. Exactly what they will get from us!

Yeah Mich St was a bit over ranked but I am not quite sure where they should be since they have been without Suton.

Sweet and sour... It's always good to see Dukies cry after a loss, but I wanted GU to be their first loss.

Hmm . I hate duke with a passion as much as anyone on this board . But I disagree with them being overrated without reason . They crushed perdue on their home floor when they were ranked 10ish so I think they deserved the four spot . But I definitely think we can beat them . I'm so conflicted . As much as I want duke / the acc to suck I want the teams we're goig to play to win . Oh well I guess is a bit of the cuse dilema

I feel like K probably wanted this game to help his team prep for us, and bit off more than he could chew.

As happy as I am that they lost, to be realistic, our game at Duke will be much more difficult. For one, they'll have the experience of playing together for many more games, well into the ACC season. Secondly, they were missing wide open 3s which we all know they are capable of (see the last few minutes of the game). Third, as Lic mentioned, they usually take a ton of free throws. Finally, they always bring it at Cameron.
Looking forward to it.

Beating Duke would be great but that is in the middle of a very tough stretch. Beating UCONN, Pitt, ND and Syracuse in that same time frame would do us more good. Could we run the table here? Not impossible, but very difficult.

For some reason I feel confident that wre going to beat, or give memphis, and duke a great game. I think our starting five can match up well against them. As always against memphis i mght be worried aboutour bench depth and rebounding. But With duke I dont think they have to many monsters on the boards nor do they go that deep. I wish we pressured more like a press or a half court trap it seemed that michigan really ramped up the pressure in the half court and it rattled the duke guards. Were athletic enough to employ that stragety, maybe not all game with our lack of depht but maybe to surprise them when it counts.
