It's an f'in miracle that the Hoyas are only down 12. Miracle.
Bright spots: rebounds, open looks late.

How could we score just 12 first half points?

In four years on the hilltop and assorted games after graduation, I can safely say that was the worst half of basketball ever. Not one guy looked HALFWAY good. Maybe Amadou. That's it. What a waste of $15. I can't believe I have to face these idiot BC kids on Monday.

Not often, but it happens. 14 turnovers is awful. If you're gonna run this offense, you need to commit at most, 5 in a half. We should be at about three. That's about twelve or thirteen shot attempts we gave away.

I remember on the tv it said we had 13 turnovers and were averaging only 13.6 up to this game and then right after that we committed another turnover. Ugly and depressing. We've lost to the orange, uconn, bc. I think it is important that we beat Uconn and im hoping that we will eventually have a 1st half like we did against pitt.

Until last night, my gold standard for the worst half ever had to be the second half of our 2001 BET game against Seton Hall. Unfortunately, the box score provided by GUHoyas doesn't do a breakdown of shooting percentage by half, although the team shot 17-58 overall, 4-17 from 3, and 2-8 from the line. 17 turnovers overall, no idea what the by-half breakdown was. The score was 26-25 us at the half, we lost 58-40. SO 14 points in the second half of a BET game where we were the higher seed (I believe a 2W vs. 6W game) against a Seton Hall team we'd beaten twice that year and who had self-destructed as a team. The defining moment of that game was one of our baskets in the second half being a botched alley oop (I think from Ruben to someone) that went in the basket on the pass. So bad it worked out. So it's close, but I'm going with last night's game b/c of the amount that our own brainmelt contributed to it and the opportunity that went astray to beat an undefeated team thought to be ripe for the picking. The GU-SHU boxscore (Braswell and Riley 0 points combined on 0-13 shooting!!): www3.georgetown.edu/athletics/guhoyas/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/gu-shubox38.html

Last year looked like a bad CYO game. I just got back from Boston and may not yet be fully sober - after that game I couldn't bear to think so I made myself unable to do so...

"The first half of last night's game was so bad."
"How bad was it?"
"It was so bad, God himself had to spare me by knocking out power to my house for 20 hours five minutes into the game."
$15 down the drain for Full Court access last night, but perhaps I should count myself among the lucky ones for not watching it. My BlueBerry told me all I needed to know.
Personally, I just hope we get a chance in the BE Tourney to send them off to the ACC with one final stinging loss.

agree burger madness that would be sweet to pull them in the big east tourney and send them packing that would be good becuase it really would be their last big east game if we play and beatem.....possibly as sweet as shutting down manley you know thats a good script beat the hall finish in the top five for the big east and then beat bc and send those expatriate traitors off to the acc i don think we wll see a first half or second ever again like that one a good teaching tool for coach jt3 go hoyas
