His comments were a little discombobulated - but its not like getting a big man involved hasn't come up on this board hundreds of times of over the years. And Monroe is alot more versatile than Hibbert was, so getting him touches obviously makes sense. Indeed, I'd have to go through some of the recent threads, but even this year several folks have commented about the offense against a zone consisting of tossing the ball around the perimeter and then chucking up a three.
I put this one under the "no publicity is bad publicity" category. This year GU is going to run and score more, and Monroe will get touches. So this won't stick.
What was more annoying was the consistent reference to GU's defense being the reason TN scored 90+ points. TN scored a ton off turnovers, and then hit some sick shots, and killed GU off the boards - it wasn't actually GU's defense that was the problem.

hubert's critique was fine. greg monroe is shooting 67% from the field and should be able to score pretty easily in the post against most competition. he's getting 1.85 points per shot, so the idea that we should go to him more often is fine with me. the offense is still coming together but i hope more post play for both greg and dajuan is in the pipeline.
hubert is one of the better analysts on espn and, being a good analyst, has often praised georgetown over the last 3 years.
