I have watched nothing but college bball coverage today and I have to say to my surprise, NOBODY thinks we will win tonight and almost nobody thinks we have a chance. I am not insulted-BC is a top 10 team at home afterall, but am a little surprised more people are not covering themselves by predicting a close game or anything. I watched College gameday twice and now two BE games, and kept expecting them to talk a little bit about us- think that at 5-2 we are as much the story about this game as BC is- but nope, they bring up the game and then just start rambling about BC. After very close calls to Holy Cross, Kent St and Yale, the Eagles luck runs out tonight. And no NFL games to bury the story with.

This is how I prefer it. I'd rather be underestimated as we have been all season.

This is how I prefer it. I'd rather be underestimated as we have been all season. Me too. Big time. Like I said, not offended by it at all, just a bit surprised. I thought we were more of a story than what I am seeing on ESPN all day today when this game comes up.

Fair enough. I would argue that they have probably given us as much respect as we deserve at the moment insofar as we're mentioned during halftimes and during analysis by Bilas, Phelps, et al. Given BC's success, I do not fault them for picking BC in this one. That said, agreed that we should at least be mentioned in the context of this game because of "our story" this season, which may be equally as surprising as BC's.

For you convenience from the above posting:
• Georgetown (+8 1/2) over BOSTON COLLEGE: The Hoyas are 3-1 straight up and 4-0 against the spread on the road. Their only loss was by five points at Syracuse as 12-point underdogs. They are getting a generous number of points and should be competitive in this game. The Eagles are one of only two undefeated remaining at 17-0. But these undefeated teams seem to be very fragile, every team wants to knock them off and at some point the bubble bursts. Boston College is 11-0 at home, but just 1-4-1 against the spread, with a two-point win over Yale and a three-point win over Holy Cross.
