This is ridiculous!!! What a complete romping!!!
70-29 UNC at one point and now 98-48 with 4:50 left!
This is not good for Pete Gillen

RU isn't having a good showing either. Down 82-47 with 656 to go.

Painful to watch, grating to the ears.
Have to say, those Virginia fans are real troopers. Every, um, 10 minutes, when their team scores, they still go crazy. The arena is still full. Thats a sign of complete loyalty. Unfortunately, if we were down 50 points, all but the front 3-4 rows of the student section would scoot. The rest of the crowd is invisible anyways, so their presence wouldn't be missed.

I was thinking the same thing, I'm extremely impressed by their fans! That's what sports should be about. DO NOT LEAVE A GAME EARLY!!!

I just saw something truly beautiful! UVa made a three from the corner to cut the lead to 106-69 with under a minute left and the crowd erupted.
I have a new found respect for these fans, I have to say it is incredibly impressive.

just an example of how scary good UNC can be - I mean I know Virginia sucks, but still they have D1 talent and UNC is absolutely dominating every aspect of the game, and they look unstoppable.
I foresee that Pete Gillen and Craig Esherick are going to be lunch partners next year

Being a Virginia fan this is utterly depressing. Pete Gillen's system might have worked at Xavier and Providence but not at UVA. If you look on some of the message boards they're way past saying "FIRE PETE" people have ideas on the next coach. I met Pete a couple of times and he's a nice guy but I don't think the New York style of play works in the ACC. I hope things turn around and I will hold my head up high and still say that i'm a UVA fan just like last season with Georgetown. The fans have real heart for staying there and cheering hard and routing for the walk-ons. I'm sorry that I wrote about something that people on this board don't car about. Thank you and I hope it turns around sooner rather than later. Go Hoyas beat BC!!!

In other ACC news, Clemson just lost to N.C. State by 10 before a crowd of 3,000-4,000 (an ice storm hit S.C. this morning.) Admission was free to anyone who could make it.
State is now 13-7 (3-4) while Clemson is 10-10 (1-7.)
Tony Bethel was 5-6 (4-5 on 3s) for 14 points for the Pack.

The halftime score was 62-26.
There are teams in the NCAA's who would be embarassed to give up that many points in an entire game!!!
