It's been awhile since we had one of these! Although I don't know when the award will come out or if Monroe will beat out Samuels for this week, I know it is usually sometime Monday afternoon. Looking forward to tracking this each week.

Samuels was a beast last night against South Alabama...but GM had the more complete games in my objective opinion.

You forgot Kemba Walker. 3 games: 18 pts 3 assists/game 2 steals/game 4 rbs/game
Though the big men get more press, so I assume Samuels or Monroe will get it.

Mike Rosario is also playing well averaging 18pts 3 rbs on 49% Shooting. Gregory Echenique is also playing well for Rutgers putting up 10pts. 11rbs and 3 blocks.

No one on the UCONN hoops team was ever charged, much less convicted of stealing laptops.

Fine.
BE Rookie most likely to try to sell a stolen laptop.
That's much more honorable.

Either that, or Calhoun has some sort of mind meld over the state where people forget what actually happened. Aug. 17, 2005"STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut guards Marcus Williams and A.J. Price were suspended from the team on Wednesday after the duo were arrested in connection to the theft of four laptop computers. "Williams, the Huskies' starting point guard, was arrested Tuesday and faces four counts of third-degree larceny, which carry a penalty of up to five years in prison and $5,000 in fines. Price, a redshirt freshman, was charged on Friday." If you want to hang your hat on what roles each of them played in this illegal scheme, be my guest.

I'm totally fine with Monroe remaining under the radar. I prefer to keep it that way for a couple of years.

This brings me back to the 2006 Big East Championship. Before Georgetown played Marquette, UConn played Syracuse. I was courtside in the student section under the basket that UConn was using to warm up. When Marcus Williams was within earshot, I yelled "Hey Marcus! Congratulations on leading the Big East is steals!" Williams actually looked over in my direction with a smile and said "That's a good one."

So i guess only the UCONN students have lost their sense of humor
