I know it's early, but congrats to Horace Broadnax (SBA '86) for a solid start (3-0) at Savannah State! Horace was a classmate of mine and a very classy guy.

Considering they went something like 1-26 a couple of years ago, that's pretty amazing.

Here's to them being undefeated when we lay down a 30 point whooping on December 8th. A good natured whooping, but a whooping nonetheless. I envision Monroe's first of many 30,20,10 nights.

Ho was one of the nicest guys on the team, could hit from long distance and had more hops than any gu guard I can remember outside of AI.
Go work HoBro!!!

I remember seeing his as a freshman in HS come out of nowhere to slam home a rebound that had gone high above the basket.

I heard today on the radio that a student at Savannah St. was shot and killed in a dormitory. There is not direct connect to the basketball team, but just wanted to let everyone know. Im sure that someone connected to the basketball team knew the person in someway.

I still take AI over Hunter. Half step inside the foul line throwing it down. I remember seeing him on campus and if he's 6' I'm really surprised.
And since we're shouting out other coaches, big nod to Jimmy Patsos for getting a technical and handling it creatively. He was by far the best flippin' bartender at the Third Edition back in the 90's and the money he saved my parents will never be forgotten. Of course if the hyperinflation actually does come.....

Jonathon Smith (pre Sleepy but a JT player, was a true leaper. There was one game when thee was about 2 seconds left and a jump ball (truly dating myself) and Jonathon was jumping against someone much taller and Gtown was only up one point. JT went down the bench shaking hands because he knew the game was over.
