Good for patrick. no big surprise here. d'antoni likes pat. i would not be surprised if ewing is a part of the rotation in the second half. Knicks right now are playing like a playoff team.

Good move for the Knicks. When it happens, I can stop hating them this season.

Just a matter of time and everybody seems to know it. Again, management and Marbury are basically in a game of chicken, trying to see who will blink first. But eventually they'll get it worked out and the spot is Pat's.
As of right now, if they cut Marbury tomorrow, Pat probably wouldn't be sent to the D-league and as a matter of fact would probably even suit up. Right now they've got Steph, Curry and Jeffries inactive. However, Gallinari is out for another 6 weeks or so, and Jerome James is not even with the team (and when he gets back, 0% chance he sees the court)... So I think if they buyout Steph they'll deactivate either Gallo or James, and Pat will suit up. Of course if it takes a long time to happen, Jeffries/Gallo might be healthy again, in which case the d-league scenario is back in play.
As of right now, the Knicks could use some help. D'Antoni is playing basically 7 guys with Rose/Collins/Roberson sort of alternating in the 8th spot if foul trouble strikes. But overall they are starting games strong and then looking tired in the 4th quarter which has allowed teams to come back on them (OKC friday and Dallas today). Over an 82 game season, in a system that runs this much, they'll need to go a little deeper off the bench. Collins and Roberson are both pretty bad... Rose is alright but not a great system fit... And I've more or less written off Gallinari and hope he becomes something down the line but I'd be surprised if he gets any meaningful time this year.... Jeffries will get some burn... But overall, there's an outside chance Pat could not only end up on the team, but actually get some PT... And hey, if that goes well, who knows...

This is great news--good for Pat. It would be very weird for me to get behind any New York team, but I'd have to feel at least some warmth towards the Knicks with Pat on the roster. Hope this works out!

Anyone want to take a shot at figuring Pat's prospect now that the Knicks have completed a major restructuring, though they are still stuck with Starbury. Last night they had 8 in uniform I think.
