Glad to hear we got Jon back for the ever-illusive 5th year of eligibility. That's news alright. Can't wait to see what he learned overseas!!

Yeah, but how's he going to mesh with the new players without any practice time? You need a certain level of comfort with your teammates to make the Princeton work... ;D

Man, no one wants to go to Alaska anymore I guess.
That field stinks.

In Goodman's defense, he probably did not select the picture or the caption beneath it. The layout editor, who probably has not seen a basketball game in years, did that. Goodman's analysis makes no mention of a phantom 5th year senior Hoya.

The best part of the article is the first comment. I laughed out loud.

He also has ND winning the maui over UNC. while i dont like the idea of rooting for ND, if they beat UNC it will really add to how good the big east is- even the best team in the nation cant beat the fourth/fifth team in the big east (of course tyler isnt playing so it loses some of its luster.)

"Teams: Michigan State, Gonzaga, Tennessee, Georgetown, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Siena, Wichita State
The Skinny: This may be the elite preseason tournament with four legitimate Top 25 clubs — all capable of winning their league this season — and also three more with a chance to get to the NCAA tournament."
I think this should have read:
"This may be the elite preseason tournament with four legitimate Top 25 clubs — all capable of winning their league this season — and also three more with a chance to get to the NCAA tournament. Oh, and Maryland, too" ;D

In "Rebuilding Process: Still Ongoing" news...
Duke and UCLA should breeze to New York City, but Southern Illinois and Michigan have no easy task. The Salukis will have to get past UMass while John Beilein's Wolverines will be tested by Northeastern.
I believe Maryland-Michigan incidentally is the lone ACC/Big Ten Challenge game that is being shipped off to the no man's land of ESPNU.
I too will be interested to see how Notre Dame fares in the Maui Invitational...a potential track of Indiana, Texas, and UNC is a pretty good litmus test especially for a team that...how to put this in the proper manner...NEVER PLAYS ANYBODY OUT OF CONFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't think they'd be able to crack UNC, but I'm hoping they get a shot at it.

Hansbrough may be out, so the matchup may be closer in Maui than it would normally be.

Hansbrough may be out, so the matchup may be closer in Maui than it would normally be. Presumably his heart would still be available?
