I'll use this thread throughout the season, in the hopes of finding other Chicago-area folks who want to watch the Hoyas.
BC GAME: Although I'm getting a bit of a late start, I will be watching this somewhere! My suggestion is Grand Central, at 950 W. Wrightwood (intersection of Wrightwood/Sheffield/Lincoln, 2 blocks from the Fullerton L stop). They have a bunch of flat screen TVs and were good to us last week for the ND game.
Who's in?

I'll delay my arrival at a friends party to join you for the game. Are we sure Grand Central will be showing this game?

Are we sure Grand Central will be showing this game? I'll call this afternoon to find out. I also need to schedule something "official" for a GU Club of Chicago viewing of the 2/16 ND game.

Just talked to a Grand Central manager - it will be no problem to get the game on one of their TVs. I'll aim to get there around 6 to stake out a spot for our group. I'll wear my old white "HOYAS" hat for easy locating.
Looking forward to seeing a bunch of Hoyas fans!

Of course, Mrs. Formerhoya's (a former hoya herself) parents are in town. I don't think I can convince them to get the The Grand Central, and I'm even more sure that I can't ditch out of anything they do.
Crap. It figures, her family is all Bostonites...

Sounds very promising. At some point Saturday, please let me know how big your entourage might get for Wed night, 2/16, vs ND. We're going to do an official GU Chicago club event, and if we can get a big enough group, we might be able to negotiate some specials.

Gold Coast, does Grand Central have food (it did not when it was the old Club 950)? I'm supposed to take my wife and twin toddlers out to dinner tonight. Perhaps I could suggest a great new place on Wrightwood which, by a startling coincidence, would be Grand Central.
Can't wait to stick it to the BC Hessians. Then let's send them off to play their new natural rival, Clemson.
Hoya, Hoya Saxa!

does Grand Central have food (it did not when it was the old Club 950)? They definitely have food. Most of us ate the brunch buffet Sunday when we were there for the ND game, but the menu had salads, sandwiches, and a few entrees, many of which looked good on the way to the other tables. Hope you can join us!
