Lets not forget that Rasheed was close to being a teamate of AI at Gtown. The Hoyas were once the clear fruntrunners for Rasheed but in the end Temple and of course UNC had pulled ahead. If Sheed had stayed at Gtown for at least two seasons he would have played alongside Iverson for one season.

As a junior, Wallace was giving strong indications that he would committ to the Hoyas. G'town had been hot on the trail of Harrington the year before. In addition, JT11 was just as interested in Rashard Griffith from Chicago as with Wallace.

Watching AI making assists to Rasheed Wallace and to Richard Hamilton is like watching Grendel munching on your first-born child. Was it any better watching him dish assists to Carmello Anthony and Marcus Camby? I never took Anthony and Camby seriously as pros, definitely nowhere near as seriously as Wallace and Hamilton who are proven NBA championship quantities. Plus I almost never saw a Denver game televised, especially not like Detroit.
