I heard the single, and it's pretty crappy. Basically, any alt. rock band ever could have written that song. Very disappointing effort from whoever's calling themselves GNR nowadays.

I always liked the joke: Which will get here first, Chinese Democracy or democracy in China?
Who IS in GNR these days anyway?

I still remember hearing they were on that dumb MTV show a few years ago, getting all excited, sitting through three hours of Jimmy Fallon which made me want to murder my parents, and then being let down when Axl came out with weird looking dreads (weave?), obvious plastic surgery, out of shape and without anyone even remotely associated with one of the greatest bands of all time. Outstanding! Plus, wasn't Axl wearing a Raiders jersey to boot at that performance? Perhaps the greatest sin of all. Of course, I might dispute the "one of the greatest bands of all time" claim, but I will not deny the monumental impact GNR had with their first album; subsequent albums...meh, but that first one is canonical, no question. How anyone could listen to Appetite for Destruction and then turn around and listen to some ridiculously untalented contemporary fops like Poison will forever remain a mystery to me.

Dr. Pepper is keeping up their end of the deal. They said if CD gets released in 2008, everyone in America gets a free Dr. Pepper. You have to go to drpepper.com on the release date (11/23 I believe) and fill out something for a free 20 oz. coupon.

Is that assclown who wears the bucket of chicken on his head still a part of what passes for GnR these days? Buckethead is long gone. Axl kicked him out too.
