So, who all is going to wake up tomorrow and get their revenge? Or has everybody already gotten their revenge? I was thinking about getting my revenge this weekend, but then I remembered an old Klingon proverb that tells us revenge is a dish best served cold. It will be very cold...tomorrow morning. ;D As for The Voice....nope. Nothing there. I have no thoughts on The Voice. In that, I am similar not only to the entire nation, but 99.998 percent of the Georgetown student and alumni community.

The Daily Caller rejoices in the decision of the "renegade editors" at the Voice to throw their endorsement away Or as the Caller put it, "The renegade editorial board at Georgetown University’s weekly student newsmagazine The Voice has endorsed Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate. The Voice is not to be confused with The Hoya, Georgetown’s oldest and largest independent student publication."

Pages 1-6 of this thread are the best part of it.
I would also like to note that, since going to law school in Chicago, I have seen the light. Like Henry Hyde, Ronald Reagan, and Condoleezza Rice, I've looked deep into my soul and realized I was not on the right side. I no longer use ketchup on my hot dog. Mustard and onions, unless a real Chicago Dog is available. Or, even better, some Hot Doug's.

I'd just like to remind Obama supporters that there is a silver lining if Obama loses--we will no longer have a Cuse grad for Vice-President

It seems likely that President Obama will win reelection so I have a few words to say on the subject. 1. Please, Republicans, don't cry about the Electoral College. It's the law of the land. Live with it. 2. Please, Republicans, don't attempt to say the election was lost due to fraud. 3. Please, Democrats and Republicans, the country is being crushed by debt and, without action coming from the Congress and the presidency, our county's economy will come crashing down, so get together and solve this, once for all. Republicans, get off your high horse and accept the fact that some increase in taxes will be required. Democrats, get off your high horse and accept the fact that structural changes to entitlements will be required. 4. God Bless America.

We have find a way to get things done, well said. Though if Republicans do start complaining about the Electoral College, Democrats should listen. It has turned the entire election cycle into a bizarre some-of-America focus and debate should be welcomed.

EasyEd's a sandbagger!!! ;D
Are there actually Republicans out there complaining about the Electoral College? I was not aware of this. I thought those complaints usually originated from the left, but I might be missing something. Or is EasyEd just anticipating Romney winning the popular vote?
No matter who wins, the other side is going to complain and cry.
The best we can hope for is a decisive outcome.
As for #3, good luck on that. There'll be some nibbling around the edges, but none of the fundamental changes necessary to truly solve the problem.
With you on #4 though! Cheers, Ed!

I don't think there are, and I can't imagine conservatives supporting something completely against their self-interest like a national popular vote.

Re: the Electoral College, it's up to every state how to apportion electors--48 states use winner-take-all, but Nebraska and Maine apportion electors by congressional districts.
The parties may not admit it, but there is still more efficiency for them in seven or eight battleground states than fighting in 435 congressional districts. Neither party has put any substantive money in the three largest states (CA, TX, NY) which allows them to overspend in states on the margin.
It's clunky, but the Electoral College still works. The ongoing demographic shift will introduce even more battleground states going forward, incl. Arizona and Texas. (Few remember that as late as 1976, Texas was among the most reliable Democratic states in the Union.)

Ed for President.
Voting today felt like trying to order at a restaurant when nothing jumps out at me. Salmon's usually my favorite, and it's good for me, but I wasn't totally feeling it and was a little let down the last time I ordered it The steak looked promising, but I know it's not healthy and the restaurant always overcooks it well past medium rare.
