i just like how hoyasox is the only one to vote for bailey's... demonstrating once again he is merely the tool of those in power ;D For a man who worked for the establishment for 4 years, you talk an awful lot of smack Chinatown. Why did we become friends again? But, in the end, if Ms. Frank is the one in power over me, well, I'll be more than happy to be a mouthpiece for the establishment.

Turns out that they get the ESPN classic etc (they have Direct TV) but they don't get the Full Court. Their Direct TV people said that they would have to buy the whole package to get the game, not just a one day buy.
I talked to the guy at RFD's, and I have to say that he really tried to get it going there. I mentioned that the ND game (2/16) might be something to shoot for. That game is is on Espn Classic, which they can do.
On another note, it really will be nice when we have won enough so that no matter where we want to go it will be on the tube.
Sorry fellas...was sure it would have worked there. Nice place to do it too.
What about Baileys?

OK, since Simian has informed us that RFD can't televise the game and I've locked the vote(!), I nominate Bailey's in order to support the HHC and the Class of 2000.....cheers....WBH

Anyone know where the game can be seen in downtown Chicago? I'm fairly sure that ESPN Zone will be showing it. Also, While I can't guarantee, The Grand Central in Lincoln Park showed the GU-ND game...

Yup, 1st rounds on me!
*disclaimer - my salary is not nearly enough to pay for drinks for even myself. You know that if I could afford it, I would buy drinks for all the board. Well, except Chinatown.

Anyone know where the game can be seen in downtown Chicago? Gold Coast, I'm going to call Grand Central this afternoon to make sure they'll show GU-BC. We did a Class of 2000 event there on Sunday for the ND game. The bar was quite good to us, mirroring their support for a charity fundraiser my grad school did back in November, so I want to steer my business their way if possible. I'll post my update this evening in the Chicago game watch thread: hoyatalk2.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1106934918We can use ESPN Zone as a backup in case Grand Central is booked.

Guys, I realize this may be a dumb question, but here in D.C., is the game still going to be on FullCourt, or will it be on local ABC or something? Basically, do I need to find a bar with FullCourt, or just the local channels? Thanks!

News Channel 8 or ESPN Full Court are the options. I know some folks are meeting up at Bailey's in Ballston, VA to watch.

If the bar has Comcast cable, they can get it on Newschannel 8. If they have Starpower or DirecTV, they won't get it (unless they have FullCourt).

For those in NY, the game is on FSNY. I have my surround sound hooked up and my beer chillin' . Now all I need are some hookers and a Hoya victory
